Wow. I've never been interested in HT (sorry guys) but seeing this the first time I'm starting to get interested. Sounds like I've missed out though?

If you want it bad enough it's there waiting for you on eBay, if not then it wasn't meant to be :wave

I skipped Barney Ross and will be getting it in a month for a fair bit over retail, cos i want it that much now.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I don't collect figures in the 12" scale, but Keaton Batman and Hellboy II are the two exceptions I want to make. At the price they're asking, though, these quality-control issues are discouraging.

It's not so much QC, but more that the older HT bodies had the weak knees. I've had several of the right knees of my older Truetype bodies break off. The new TT knees are better and are an easy swap, especially since most of us aren't going to display HB pantless. :lol

My Hellboy is holding up fine. His left knee did break but HTs replaced it.

I don't think it's so much a QC issue. There have been reports for years involving several different toy companies and brittle red plastic. Seems every figure made of it has had some degree of reports of breakages. Even as recently as the HTs Spiderman III figure and the wrist joints. Medicom's comic Spidey virtually falls apart and Hellboy indeed had his issue with the knees. So it seems more of an issue with the way this plastic is manufactured.

Those knees sound almost as bad as the old HT Joker knees. I must've had 4 or 5 of those break for no reason whatsoever.

In fact, I wish HT would just sell knee joints.

i'm regretting not have this >.<

so it's true about knee easily broken cause of upper's weight, eh?

I hope it happens, but doubt it.

I have had no problems with my HT Hellboy... I wish I could say the same thing about my HT Comedian figure. :gah: :gah: :gah:

I know that another Hellboy film seems to be a long shot. But at least it's not a flat "no" like it had been for nearly a year. It took them (Del Toro and Perlman) to re-unite at last year's Comic Con to get things turned around a bit. And since they are now working on Pacific Rim together (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1663662/) here's hoping they get a moment to two between takes to further discuss the future of Hellboy.

mine is still in good shape

That is one figure that i truly regret selling! He looked so AWESOME in my Detolf and was always the center of attention from everyone!I would buy him again but ever since that bootleg came out i've been hesitant.

He's not that tall in the movies. Abe is taller than him. All those scenes with tiny Selma Blair give a skewed impression.

biggest curse of this figure was his knee joints the red plastic they used is very fragile compared to what they normally use ......but easily replacable, but apart from the new knees hes holding up well.

Same with mine. couple of months ago i went to check it out.his skin was fine, great. I went to put it back on the shelf and his right leg completely fell out of his pants. GREAT! I glued it up. probably can't bend his leg, not even gona try
