His coat was modeled after a Sherwani coat , which was worn by the first Prime Minister of India. It is not a coat for men in suits. It is a coat that was fashioned for nobility. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherwani

I'm talking about this thing:

Trench coats remind me of Blade

This is exactly the problem with society today. Punisher, Blade, Red Skull; the only comic book characters who are actually wearing trench coats the way they should be worn are these guys

I'm sick of the anti-heroes getting the spotlight. The way they wear the coats looks so goofy. Even the punisher, who I think is an awesome character, is silly. The t-shirt under the trench coat? You could at least have the decency to look good while killing criminals, Frank.

The whole point of a suit is that it takes a man to look good in one, and it takes a man to not lose his individuality in one. Ties are a symbol of restraint, which can be taken as a sign of being controlled by others, or of controlling oneself. Again, look at the man wearing it and it should be obvious why he's wearing it. A real man is not controlled by others.

And here I always thought a tie was to hide the buttons on the shirt.

:dunno

Neo isn't an anti hero, and I don't know if Blade is one, though he might. The Punisher certainly is, but I don't agree with him wearing a trench coat, unless it is to make weapons more concealable, which is why Neo wore one. Honestly, I never thought the trench coat was any more than utilitarian apparel for when it rains or when you want to carry a shotgun without attracting attention. (not that I ever did that)
Trench coats have always been boring to me, other than **** (Richard?) Tracy's, only because it's yellow.

That thought occurred to me, too. You can fix that problem by wearing a shirt with buttons to the side. There is only so much time in the day, so it doesn't make sense to spend 10-30 seconds every day just to tie a tie and remove it. That's time you will never get back, and for what? The view just isn't worth the climb.

That's one thing I never understood about The Punisher. This guy is a trained soldier, is he not? Why, then, does he just burst into places and shoot them up, without taking cover or anything. I get that you could say "because he's not a *****," but trained soldiers are tactical, and, if they just burst through doors, they most likely wind up shot.

If you can shoot the targets fast enough, it is better than cover, because it avoids a long drawn out confrontation. If you have the element of surprise and can kill all in 2-3 seconds, when no one has their gun in their hands yet, then you are pretty safe.

What you are talking about really reminds me of this:

I agree, but 15-20 guys should not be taken on by rappelling through a skylight with dual wielded handguns. He's a soldier at heart, regardless of how mondo gung-ho ****ing bat**** crazy losing his family made him.

I agree. The Shoot Em Up is ridiculous but fun.

Are you the guy who threw the Birkenstock at Perry Farrell at that show in Mexico City c.1992?
