Really?
I found out today that I owe over a whopping $6,000. :monkey2

P!tu, my accountant didn't say anything about incorporating. He's gonna look into if being a S Corp would help me because I can't be a LLC...

S Corps suck. Most of its advantages got deleted in the 1986 tax revision act. It really doesn't serve as an overall ideal business entity.

do you have a home business? just curious.

:horror:horror:horror $6,000!?!?

Why can't you be a LLC? I'm a small business LLC, and it works great.

Oh okay. Accountant said that after $17,000 the tax rate is much better for a S Corp. She will do an analysis to see if it'd be worth it for me.

I have a business but it's not at home. I trim horses' hooves and don't have many deductibles. And I don't own a home nor have a home office either...

:(

Accountant said that a single person cannont be a LLC. :dunno

So your gross and net are virtually the same? Ouch!

Hmm, that doesn't sound right to me, but what do I know! :lol

I have my own business as a massage therapist, and my wife is an inactive member of my LLC. Maybe that's why it works, but my accountant didn't say anything about it having to be more than one person to be LLC.

I'll have to ask him next time I see him... that's when I will be finding out how mush I owe. Hopefully not that much because I filed quarterly for the first time in 2009.

I'll be calling my accountant tomorrow... starting to wonder what the hold up is! :stick

Getting $3200 back. Think I'll put it towards a new AC unit.

I need to start claiming more than "0" deductions or whatever it's called.

Got back $146.88 from state and $2,192 federal as a single head of household. Used $312 of it to get my Legolas Exclusive PF, and the rest went to pay off the trip I took with the family to Disneyworld in December.

While it's nice getting a big refund once a year, I'm seriously going to look at changing the number of exemptions I claim to increase my take home. Essentially those of us that get refunds are letting the federal government borrow our money interest free.

Had to pay the state for the first time - owe them $166
But the feds gave me back $293 - thanks to a new car I bought last year. Otherwise I would have owed both.

So the 2 together even out and Im getting back about $127

Gonna use it to fund the purchase of a Venom Comiquette :)

Enough for a Double Down. :banana
