I actually spent a long time "futzing" the hair with water and hair gel and hairspray to try and mimick Chewbacca's hairstyle. Again, hair at this scale, like clothing, doesn't behave the same way as 1:1 scale does.

Seeing the before and after shots there, the work you did to matte the fur down makes a huge difference - nice work. It's funny, with nothing to compare the final product to one can say the fur needs to be clumped together and messy, but when comparing it one can see a world of difference between the two and the matted fur.
