Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS in AUGUST

Latest Sideshow newsletter just came out a few minutes ago. Sad to say there was no mention of this figure going up for preorder or anything.

____ the preorders

I think right now best thing is to just enjoy these fresh new pics of the figures, the hype will die down next month with more new figure announcement and pics anyways.

with the way things are goin, it wouldnt surprise me if they announce a new DX bats 2.0 OC with the same ____, but with PERS for both the wayne and bats. You'd be glad not POing this one :lol

How many HT figures do you own outside of Batman?

A couple. :wave

From what I've seen (in person and in pictures), shoulder to head ratio in Hot Toys figures is off in most cases. Sideshow does a better job with head size. Wouldn't you agree that generally Sideshow has larger heads than Hot Toys? Some might like an undersized head, and I agree that generally hero's are drawn with a smaller head, but that can be taken too far imo.

Would you agree that when comparing these 2 pics the HT head is smaller than life?

^^^ Head looks so small, relatively speaking, that it looks like he's wearing a parka.

No, I wouldn't. The suit looks to be too bulky but the rubber has to be that thick 'cause thinning it would risk tears while posing. So that's probably a necessary sacrifice. I bet on a TT dressed in a suit that head would look just fine.

As far as other releases, people need to learn how to pose their figures. If you walked around with your shoulders shrugged all the time it'd make your head look smaller too. It was a problem inherent among the earlier HT releases because the shoulders were bulbous and wouldn't go down lower. People _____ed about it. Now that HT has provided them the means, people don't do it. But pushing the shoulders down, gives a natural slope to the body making the shoulders look less broad and the head more accurately sized. If I had a dollar for every time I've typed "push those shoulders down!" and gotten a positive response, I'd be able to float a Tumbler. :lol

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive).

I agree about the shoulders. But regardless, the head looks a little too small to me, even with the body posed at an angle.

Maybe it's just me. :dunno

Either way, it's still a great head though.

The old TDK OC is supposedly skinnier... I can't really tell all that much looking at him, he seems to be. Maybe I'll just stick the Bale head on that.

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS in AUGUST

I'm excited, no matter what they put out for Nolan's Batman, I WANT IT!!!

I don't personally care what they are worth, as I wont ever sell my collection, but I do care for what I pay for them and if they release new versions and the older versions go down in price, then that's a good thing for those who didnt get them at the time of their release. I know it hurts you guys who like to sell them to make some profits or sell to be able to buy other figures, but HTs I don't think is putting out figures hoping their collectors can make money off them. I want them to put out figures for the enjoyment of the characters and movies.

With that said, it would be nice for them to do other characters, as most of us would love a Ras, Ducard, Alfred, Gordon, Fox, etc...There's a lot they haven't done yet with Nolan's Batman so hopefully they listen to their fans and customers and produce other characters.

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS in AUGUST

I live in ottawa to:hi5:

I usually order from toys2, hows bbts?

I think toys2 might get this exclusive but i dont know when. In the mean time im going to try to order from sideshow, and if toys2 gets it the same time i will cancel my order through sideshow and place an order with toys2.

Sideshow has a deal setup with Fedex where they charge us Canucks $25. Thats what they charged me for my Jason III PF and thats alot bigger than a figure. I'm not sure if its cheaper for a figure or just a flat rate. Either way its decent.

Thanks for the reply guys :) $25 ain't bad at all :yess:

Agreed, personally I only buy figures I really like. So why would I want to get rid of them? Money doesn't make you happy, the only reason I'd consider selling anything from my collection is if for some reason I needed money really badly. And honeslty if you have a decent and steady income than there's really no need for that, right?

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS in AUGUST
