Just as an idea. How many folks on here are buying extras (or even a single) with the intention to flip it?

Not many would readily admit to that.

I want 2 of these - will sell the heads and accessories of the 2nd set as I just need the body/suit. At this point i'll be lucky to get one at a decent price.

If i'm unable to order because of this priority preorder farce then it's gonna really suck. Lame.

To be fair...PPO's ain't a new thing, nor is the streamlining. Also we've known that this was being PPO'd for sometime.

Can I suggest that perhaps you should have not left it until the day before the PPO to alter the details? It ain't SSC's fault if you ain't able to order. You have had enough notice.

I applied for newsletter yesterday, and got confirmation of being added. But the priority preorder box is not checked yet.

So you can clearly see on your main account page that you don't qualify yet?

There might not be anything you can do. You'll probably be approved tomorrow, after midnight.

How long does it take to see if I qualify?

Our database updates each evening at Midnight PST. If you have changed or updated your information to qualify prior to this time, then expect to see the message in your newsletter Status area update the next business day.

It might have been better if you signed up a few days earlier, just to be safe.


You can try calling them, that's what I would do, but they'll probably just tell you the above. They open at 8:30AM PT, try it and ask them.

And regarding the CC - currently it has my UK address and CC details on file. But I want to change it to my cousins CC and address (in the US). So I can have my cousin ship it to me as a gift/low value later on to avoid ridiculous UK customs fees - however I don't have those details yet.

Well, either way try ordering. After you order I believe you can "apply new address/credit card info" to an existing order.

Actually I only found out about PPO yesterday.

This thread has been full of such irrelevant BS that I did not bother to follow it once the 12 Aug date was announced. I was not aware I had to go through another layer of nonsense to be able to order a figure at a reasonable (but still inflated) price.

The only thing i've ever ordered from sideshow to date is the exclusive CR Superman - and that did not have this issue

Thanks for the tips guys - yeah like I said, would have sorted out the PPO status earlier had I known about it. Oh well whatever i'll call them and see if the legendary US customer service lives up to its name

BTW I think theres no need to use your cousin's credit card..you can use yours and get it shipped with your name to your cousin's home. You will have to fill and alternate shipping address form but thats it. Just make sure everyone at your cousin's house knows about it so they expect the package.
