I think this figure will be the nail in the coffin as far as collecting Hot Toys figs for me. I'm _____ing pissed that they are basically rereleasing and updating essentially the same figure yet again.

Happy for you guys as I know that alot of you coveted a Begins version of the figure and the sculpt is nothing short of outstanding. It just pisses me off as a collector of these figs to see Hot Toys constantly run back to the well on earlier figures. It's not like there is a shortage of licensed characters to work on. I'm just done with the company as a whole (which sucks because I have a HT Thor that is arriving today that I was really looking forward to getting).

As someone who used to collect Hot Toys I'd advise you to quit. I'm collecting Sideshow statues right now and I have no fear of a superior version released down the line that renders my previous version obsolete. Collecting should be fun and not worrying about "updated versions."

Some people just don't get it but there is no fun in having to update figures that you spend big money on. I got out after the DXs were released and seeing this today makes me think that I absolutely made the right decision. I can already see them revisiting all the Predator figures already....it is great for newcomers to the game but as a collector who supported Hot Toys from the start I just had enough.

I was feeling a bit bad that I sold my OC Bats for $350 a few months before he really shot up in value. Now I don't feel bad about that at all

Yes the suit is exactly the same , most likey to leak in the future like all hot toys rubber stuff

It's not likely you'll ever see an entirely new figure especially for a con exclusive. It's far more cost affective to add on to or make minor changes to an existing figure then make a new one. That way the company gets more money.

And in my opinion the paint on this Bale head is better then the sculpt is. It's good, but I still see things that are off.

Wow, the Bale sculpt blows the Adam one out of the water and Adam one was really impressive. Wonder who the sculptor though. My money on Yulli. Looks like her work.

I just traded my ass off to get my HT TDK OC Bats - re-aquired another Takara Bats incomplete , finally got the harness and now

Hot Toys is gunna drop this MOTHER F'IN Beautiful complete OC Bats on me now WTF!!!!!

OC is generally considered better looking than TDK suit, isn't it?

well the OC = Original Costume is from Batman Begins and the 1st Chapter in TDK

And its just in the eye of the beholder , some people like the OC suit more that the TDK new suit .

The price will be around $250 i'm guessing , ebay ummmm $300

Have to agree... how many Joker's did they release again? Grey Iron Man figures?

Gotta say at least this has some really nice upgrade features like the unmasked head, swappable face plates. But still; 1) can't believe a figure like this is a con exclusive and 2) destroying the previous begins figure isn't very nice

Man, now I regret not getting off my ass and selling my first night out Takara Bats. Oh well, guess I finally have a strong reason to sell him now, as his proceeds can go to buying this version.

I really hope he can be had for a relatively good price. I also don't need two OC sculpts, guess selling one off helps me recoup some more of the cost, too.

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm just going to stick with Sideshow like I always have and round out my collection with a couple of 1:1 busts. I think after that I'm going to call it a day as far as collecting. I'm unsure at this point on whether to keep what I have (as far as Hot Toys) or sell them all off. Whatever the case, I can say with certainty that I'm done collecting from Hot Toys. Thor (thats due in today) will likely be the last piece that I add from that company.

I feel the same way, but not surprised anymore I guess. It looks like Hot Toys knows where the money is, don't be surprised when a new Mark I is released and a new Predator 1 is released.

The sculpt is 10000000 times better than the original, but it is nowhere near perfect

The paint is incredible though
