I could not agree more, why did they not give the job to Kojun, hot toys promotes Yulli as the best sculptor but she is not IMO. So many fails with the Ledger Joker.

I am not sure if she has failed at anything else. Has Kojun failed yet?

Wrong.

The right answer is, HT should have paid Adam...

"One Million Dollars!"

And we would all be one happy camper. :lol

I have the DX01 headsculpt and this destroys it. Nevertheless, this one is not an amazing sculpt, just decent. I have never liked any of the sculpts before this one. This is the only one that has any likeness to Ledger IMO.

REALLY! One of the DC animators I showed this too had the sam opinion I do.....that it looks less like Ledger. Its more "goth" or in the stylings of the black & white statues & figs that have been rolling out lately. But you say this destroys......& yet only decent. To me your comment come off as someone who WANTS this to be a landmark figure.....but deep down you know HT failed to meet & raise the bar.

Just my opinion.

Well, though you may personally dislike her sculpts, the previous Joker sculpts were successes from a sales standpoint, and the consensus on the boards was that the likenesses were quite good. Same goes for her Bruce Lees, which are largely seen as successful sculpts by collectors. I'm not sure there was any strong reason for HT to try and switch things up considering that. And as far as we know, there may have been 3 or 4 different sculptors working on this, with Yulli's winning out. In any case, as Batman says, we still don't even know how good or bad this sculpt will look from different angles.

For a minute there, I was trying to remember which quote and from which movie did batman said that:panic::lol

What I like most about this one is the hair, so much nicer how it actually looks like part of the head rather than a separate piece.

What I don't like is the picture itself. It's too dark. It needs to be more vibrant imo, as does ledgers make up and hair.

The expression is really growing on me. It is spot on to one of the pics Voidcat posted (who again conducts himself brilliantly) get that man some catnip!

Sorry to sound cliche but I'm sure there will be more Joker figures made in the future. The people who still aren't 100% happy with the Joker sculpts so far may get the perfect Joker one day...

WOW!!!:slap

Reading through this thread starting @ 2am today is painful!

Why everyone CRAPS all over others opinions is comical and stupid. We all see things differently. Some thing this sculpt is great, some think it sucks and most are somewhere in between. People are reposting their same opinions over and over again trying to combat what others are saying about their opinions. Its absolutely psychotic. Everyone should chill. And stop looking for acceptance of your opinion and stop trying to sway others to think what you think. Who cares! IT A FREAKIN TOY! :wave

I like the sculpt and will get this because I miss out on DX01.

The hair is nice... Something that Heath wishes he have/had during his early 20s, but as far as movie accuracy goes, he was sort of balding during TDK.

Her previous sculpts were successes in sales because there was no competition! I bought all her Joker figures because I was desperate for a Ledger Joker. I saw the prototypes and I knew they were not outstanding but I just wanted mob scene Joker.

The reason why everyone liked the bank robber joker so much is because it actually looked like heath Ledger's Joker, after that disaster version 1 Joker. It still looked nothing like Heath but people got tricked because the make up application and the realism of the sculpt impressed people.

So I bought the Bank Robber Joker and the version 1 Joker, then hot toys announces they are releasing a DX cop Joker with clown Joker. So I sold my Bank Robber Joker and version 1 Joker to get the DX. My standards at the time were low i just wanted a mob scene Joker but I knew head sculpt was not great. It was not bad just not outstanding.

However, I never displayed them because the tailoring sucked and the head sculpts looked stupid to me, well cop joker is ok.

So after that release people were desperate and this is when people started to make custom Ledger Joker sculpts because people were desperate for some likeness to Ledger, because hot toys kept letting them down.

Her Bruce Lee figures are cool figures because of all the stuff you get with them like diorama etc but the head sculpts are terrible!

Oh yeah. I mean the central part of his hair on top looks better than previous attempts.:peace

Has Trevor Grove ever had a go at the Joker ?.

No but would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see one from him. We might see one if Sideshow does a Ledger Joker PF or something

Doubt we'll see one in 1/6 from him.

Yeah they haven't got that thinness of ledger's hair down in any of their attempts - but i'm curious to see this one from other angles.

It destroys it because it the BRJ sculpt is way worse. So it is a relative thing. I still think it is only a decent sculpt and agree HT failed to raise the bar but I was expecting so much worse.

Do you understand now?

I don't see many people complaining about Adam's sculpts :dunno

Just get the f____g thing right and there will be no complaining.

BINGO!!! I predict HT will announce a re-tooling of this monstrosity soon. They MUST be aware by now the lack luster responce this thing is having. Just like with the cross eye issue with CR Superman, this too will get fixed. I can't imagin HT rolling the dics on such an obvious flop.
