If you are talking about this one:

2nd head sculpt confirmed?!

You can't compare rooted hair between a custom head sculpt and a mass produced head sculpt because the former is a small, limited amount of pieces (maybe 20 tops) where the artist can take as much time as they want fixing and tweaking the hair to look as good as possible whereas the latter is done in the 10's of thousands. So expecting a company to put the same amount of time and effort into a single element for every single figure as a custom artist is unrealistic.

I never could understand those people. They claim they have one of a kind head sculpts, claim they're better than mass produced, we've read years of it, so why are they getting worked up over an inferior sculpt that they claim all their customs are one of a kind and so rare. Why even bother to participate, after all they have one of a kind no matchable head sculpts. We've already seen arguments from it.

It's the only time you really see them really participate in the DC section, when it has Ledger or Joker in the name or something related down those lines.

They have their masterpieces, their dream is fulfilled, so why vent about something thats mass produced and not to their liking. Is it really that hard?

U hear that Teddy!! :lol

I can't understand how people can not see Ledger's Joker in this new sculpt...

I have the DX01 (currently on ebay) and I think this new sculpt already blows the old one away, expression or not this one is a better representation of the character...

I have no regret at all for throwing my DX01 on ebay, I never cared for the cop joker and I really only need one version of the character... if he does have the table and chair that's a much better trade for the cop gear IMO.

M.

How much??

:exactly: i said the exact same thing oh so many pages back. do they want and expect mass produced factory made figures to equal or improve upon their much revered one-of-a-kind "art" pieces? doesn't that devalue the whole point of getting their custom made "art" in the first place? or is it just an excuse to show off?

Not everyone is r3ctum though or demands it to be accurately 1mm in or out. I'd rather please the masses than please a minority and a lot will be pleased with it. There's lots of happy people out there that don't need to vent on a forum.

You guys got stop making excuses for Hot Toys and other companies. They only have one job, make toys. Are you telling me it's unrealistic to expect a multi-million dollar company to compete with a custom artist. Get out of here... it's possible if they are committed to delivering a good product. Every time I hear you guys make mentions like that is like saying: "It's unrealistic for a car company to put airbags on all those cars, they are mass produced in the millions"

Just make proper rooted hair part of production and that's it. Done deal.

Has anything new or worthwhile been posted in the last 4 hours??? Just wanna know if I need to bother reading back.

They are not really venting, they are actually over the moon, by pointing out all the faults of production figures, it makes them feel better about the massive amount of money they have invested in unlicensed products.

If they can make a regular MMS mass produced figure with rooted hair like this:

Don't see why they couldn't make an expensive DX figure something like this:

I think this one has sculpted and rooted hair.

Again, I'm not bothered by the sculpted hair on the Joker figure. Just saying.

Ferrari did have one great feature once. Exploding batteries. Suppose if you're filthy rich may as well go out with a bang.

LoL! No. Just justifications.

Ahhhh, so thats why I saw them creating for sale threads and very little interest for them, then the thread was shut down/removed. I see, makes sense for something thats a masterpiece and went through vigorous tasks and requests to Kato and Bobby to get it to their liking to try and sell it 6 - 12 months down the line. Then get gifts to sell those on as well. Bud.

Ok without rereading through all of today's post has their been a general opinion of what scene this sculpt may have been taken from??? I actually showed my wife to she what she thought and she said it reminds her of the party scene.

What would that be? A new pic of the figure? Check Hot Toys facebook page...
