I don't know what else their waiting on, they've shown the whole damn figure pretty much :lol

Then why bother with a full reveal?

That baby doll's head is alot bigger than a Joker head. It's creepier too. Reminds of the woman that was on some TV show where her house was full of baby dolls and she treated them like they were real babies...ew.

Nice comparison shot but isn't anyone else bothered by the over-texturized skin??

What I believe is taking away from this sculpt is two things:

1. His jaw line is too long.
2. His semi-wide-eye expression. I think the sculpt would have looked better if his eyes were beadier with less white-of-the-eye showing.

And he isn't dirtied up enough

The figure will have PERS, so it could also depend on the position of the eyes in the teaser.

too much looking for meaning where there doesn't have to be any... the sculpt is making an expression... think of the scene where the Joker confronts the crowd in Bruce's penthouse.

The only way to do it right would be to individually hand punch every hair on every head with rabbit fur or the like. Poly is dolly. HT's China factory would then have to install extra strength Apple suicide nets.

:lol:lol:lol

Show me a custom artist that's mass produced a head sculpt with rooted hair in the 10's of thousands that all look like the pics you guys have been posting as examples and that will be the end of the debate. Go PM Bobby C and ask him how much of a pain in the ass just doing the hair for the 20 or so Joker heads he did was. And then ask him if he would be willing/have the energy and time to do that x 20,000+.

Terrible example.

A more accurate comparison would be the difference between mass produced cars with stock factory paint jobs and a car that has a custom paint job with intricate pin-stripes and airbrushed images. There's a reason why the latter is called "Custom".

:lecture:lecture:lecture

Big difference between a one-off prototype (like a small amount of customs) and a mass produced figure.

Seriously.. why don't some of you guys go ask one of the custom artists on here how long it actually took them to do the rooted hair for their custom Joker head sculpts and then x that by 10's of thousands of figures. You'll see how stupid this debate is. :lol

You guys got stop making excuses for Hot Toys and other companies. They only have one job, make toys. Are you telling me it's unrealistic to expect a multi-million dollar company to compete with a custom artist. Get out of here... it's possible if they are committed to delivering a good product. Every time I hear you guys make mentions like that is like saying: "It's unrealistic for a car company to put airbags on all those cars, they are mass produced in the millions"

Just make proper rooted hair part of production and that's it. Done deal.

Yeah Hot Toys, get on that!!!! All of your figures from now on should be custom quality! We don't care that you'd have to bump the price up to $2000 per figure because, like DFanatic, we all have one these in our houses:

(That's my wife biotches, don't even think about that comment you're about to type)

And I'm glad DFanatic brought up the auto industry, because by his line of thinking, Hyundais and Kias should have no problem looking like this:

That expression gives me more of a party scene vibe. Especially when he looks at Rachel as he combs his hair back. Can't wait for full reveal.
