What is the point of posting in a thread saying "I don't need another one of these figures blah blah" Good for you. Some people do want to buy a Joker - and notice how I don't say 'another' Joker because for some, this could be their first and possibly only Joker. Don't want it - don't buy it - easy. I could go in the horror section or GI Joe section posting "I'm not gonna buy this" "Pff me buy that? are you serious?" but I don't. In fact, I could walk into a supermarket and shout "I'M NOT GONNA BUY ANY OF THESE VEGETABLES" but I don't - cause I'd look like totally stupid - TOTALLY STUPID :wave

Anyway!

How may ******* Iron Men does HT need to release?!!? ARGH!!!!

Thank you B and J. :clap I never understood the whining about too many of whatever figures. I said this in the last thread but I will repeat. I don't own any Iron Man figures and don't ever plan to but I wouldn't care if they made an Iron Man figure every month for a year. Same goes for going into the threads. I don't think I've ever even been in an Iron Man thread. Hell, I've probably been in the Marvel section twice. If I don't want the figure or can't afford it I don't go in.

They hired Kato ?. That's cool , good for him. He sure is talented.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this , it's the reason I sold my Joker.

How do we know Kato did the clothes? Yeah, they look like them from what we can see but has Kato actually said anything about it?

just cause he did the prototype if he did it doesn't mean its going to look like that mass produced.

I'll prolly wait for the 1/4 from EB, HT has never gotten a solid grasp on Heath's likeness.

True, but if Enterbay's Men In Black figures are any indication, the mass produced clothes can potentially be pretty damn close if the pattern is there.

I didn't say it would. :dunno I asked how do we know he even did the prototype.

You haven't even seen this one yet. :dunno:lol

For that matter we haven't even seen what EB has to offer except for a pic of half a face which doesn't even look all that. The paint looked promising.

I'm just saying, with all their attempts before, I won't get my hopes up that this will be any better. They have gotten better with each release, but IDK, we'll see.

I'm sure they will nail his likeness it's a bigger sculpt hot toys has this one last shot if this is really the last joker figure .

Bank Robber and Dx01 were close enough.

What EB has shown of theirs, isn't a improvement.

The problem with the Heath Joker is that he pulls so many faces, I mean if you watch the film you could probably pick 4 or 5 areas in which he looks completely different.

I like my Bank Robber Joker, I think it is a fairly good sculpt, my only problem with them is the hair, it never looks right to me and I guess it never will if this is the last one and it uses similar to before.

I don't think I will get into the 1/4 stuff unless the likeness/quality is amazing and I feel the urge, the Bank Robber Joker spent several years teasing me until I gave in and started collecting.

I love the face that they are making another joker and am excited to see how it turns out. I will be definitely be picking up the 1/4 pieces but unless they nailed heaths likeness I will not be picking this up. I know bank robber was hot toys best attempt at Heath but the likeness is completely off and it is amplified when the paint is removed.

It's been 3 years. Its kind of lame to say that all other release didn't get it right.

:exactly:

Very true. Look at him in the interrogation scene then look at him in the "hit me" scene. Very different even beside the make up.

yea, all I want is a piece that you can tell is defn Heath behind the make up. The "he has many faces throughout the film" is just an excuse, I want something that clearly looks like Heath. Adams pieces are great, but 1/6 is just too small for me unless they really knock it out of the park.

HT has never gotten a solid grasp on Heath's likeness.

What?

In August of 2008 I don't recall anyone having any qualms about their likeness. In fact I'd go as far as saying the Bank Robber Joker was one of the big game changers of 1/6 collecting.

oh well then, cause I didn't think they even came close on any release. I have higher standards then most of you guys that will buy every single release they put out.

Pretty sure both Bank Robber and DX were voted Figure of the Year on this and a few other sites and won by landslides.

Look at how inaccurate the other stuff coming out back then looked.

HT has never gotten a solid grasp on Heath's likeness.

I'm surprised to see so many people say this. IMO the BR and DX01 look awesome. And personally I would not have a problem owning either one as the sole Joker in my collection. Even if the DX 2.0 isn't an improvement it will satisfy me plenty. But that is just speaking for myself.

I have a feeling that this sculpt is going to rock, simply because they felt the need to do a 2.0

Most will argue that they're cashing in on the character (which is probably mostly true), but I'd like to think part of the reason also has to do with a desire to improve on the first DX. You can see that they're obviously taking pride in the tailoring, and I suspect this will be the case with all aspects of the figure. I would bet this is their last hurrah for Heath Joker, so can't see them putting out a sub-par sculpt for this.

That's fine if all of you guys were/are happy with those pieces, they just don't do anything for me :dunno
