I can't stand it either but yes I will definitely come with it.

What is it about PERS that so many people despise??? Just curious. I think it adds personality to certain characters. Like Jack Sparrow and Nicholson Joker.

Laughing would be killer :dunno

I f____g hate PERS! I really hope this doesn't come with it

It's a DX...it's coming with PERS.

I love it so it doesn't bother me

I don't get it either but oh well

Ugly seams on the backs of the head. Panels that ruin the aesthetics of the headsculpt. Possible quality control issues with crooked, derpy eyes. More worry about having problems other than paint applications. Bug eyes/eye lid syndrome that throw off the entire look of the sculpt. Indiana Jones being the prime example.

PERS is no bueno.

It works great on Keaton, that's about it. Not worth the headache as expressed above. Plus, HT is getting really good at doing very realistic static eyes.

I'm so glad I get a second chance at Ledger's Joker. I pretty much stick to Star Wars, He-Man, and Gi Joe but I'm definitely going to be dabbling in some Batman what with this and TDKR.

Ahh ok. My only experience with PERS is Jack Sparrow. No seams with the hair bandana. Couldn't be more happy with it. Love PERS on him. Guess maybe it is different on other figures.

Did they hide and seams on the DX01 or are they in plain sight???

PERS is PERFECT for Sparrow. And still is the best DX with PERS yet.

Those that are concerned about the seems in the hairline or back of the heads as in the DX08 and DX09, I can understand how that might be off putting, but really....realistically now...how often are you going to display the figure with its BACK to the viewer?

I didnt think so....:dunno

I have a feeling that this sculpt is going to rock, simply because they felt the need to do a 2.0

Most will argue that they're cashing in on the character (which is probably mostly true), but I'd like to think part of the reason also has to do with a desire to improve on the first DX. You can see that they're obviously taking pride in the tailoring, and I suspect this will be the case with all aspects of the figure. I would bet this is their last hurrah for Heath Joker, so can't see them putting out a sub-par sculpt for this.

This is my thinking as well. I think HT has felt that they have came so far from the DX01 to what we now have in terms of quality sculpt and paint (and BETTER PERS) in the figures like DX08 and DX09. Just a MASSIVE improvement. Looking at the 89 Joker next to the DX01, it makes the DX01 look like a caricature. I have a feeling they are going to blow the old one out of the water.

This also makes me think that if this is truly is HT "last hurrah" with the Heath Ledger Joker then they need to go out with a BANG and do a Two Figure release like Bespin Luke and give us all (those that are in need of a DK Joker and those that want something fresh) what we want with this final release.

Hope we all get what we want out of this one! I truly do!

For me it's all about aesthetics. I don't know how Jack Sparrow is but most of the DX figures I own have blatantly obvious seams on the back of their heads. '89 Batman, while having the best PERS eyes on a figure has this garish panel on the back of his head. It's the ONLY critique I have against an other wise perfect figure. There's really no reason why it couldn't have been done like the DX 02 which probably has the best hidden access.

Have you seen the upcoming DX 10 T-800? You can practically see inside the head, it's awful. Nicholson and Ledger, while not as bad aren't anything to write home about either.

Who cares if you can't see the back of the head while it's on display? A display is only part of the experience. Have you guys ever just, I don't know, admired a figure? Take it out and look at it? There's more to it than it's shelf life. That's like saying you'd only care if the clothes were tailored and cut from the front and wasn't complete on the back, sort of like a hospital gown. So you wouldn't care if your Batman or Joker had their ***** exposed on the back?

Oh, but nobody can see the back, who cares?

If it has to have PERS then I'm sure there's got to be a better way to access the feature without some robotic like panel on the back of the head.

PERS was a nice gimmick, it was fun in the beginning, but that's all it is, a gimmick. I could do without it. It's no better than old action figures I used to have where a giant button was sticking out of the figure's back to make it punch or kick. Not only did it look bad and throw off the realism of a figure, if it broke the whole figure would be ruined, just like PERS.

I hate to say it, but rooted hair could be a savior to PERS. Strands of hair instead of plastic would mean no ugly seams. :lecture

PERS or Enterbay's system are good for certain characters. So far it seems that it's ideal for those actors who emphasize the eyes in forming their expressions.

Creepy: Ledger/Nicholson
Quirky: Depp/Atkinson
Intense: Lee/Keaton/Hamill/Jackson(Bad)

Harrison Ford uses his smile and eyebrows to express most of what his characters are going through. Most of the time when he's smiling, you can barely see his eyes anyway. Would have been great if we had three different headsculpts: upset, smiling, serious. Poor choice for PERS though.

Schwarzenegger is kind of in the middle as he is intense, but he's just not that expressive (unless we're talking Conan lol!). He could stare ahead all day and that would pretty much cover it, but I don't think PERS will hurt him like it did Ford.

I have no doubt Ledger 2.0 will be incredible, if for no other reason that 1.0 was the first time I thought it could have been a pic of the actor. Even now I think he holds up fairly well. His eyes still creep me out!

Picture Joker with Black Widow's hair, that's what it will look like. :(

:goodpost: The messy curly hair would not work in mass production. :lecture

:exactly: That and the fact they can hide them seam well on the heath Joker so there is even less need for rooted hair to hide pers. People complain about the seams but that is only ever the case with short haired sculpts, look at dx01 and Mj dx03 pretty well hidden if you ask me.
