What I did was un-sewed the part that hangs down and around his neck, let's call it a scarf for lack of a better name. Then I wet the turban and the scarf, place the turban on his head so the roll was at the front. Then I placed the 'scarf' over the top and draped it around his neck with a little twist. After it dried I re-sewed it in a few place to hold it. Especially at the back so I didn't have to tuck it into his collar.

Okay thanks. I'll try that.

I agree that the robes should hang looser. I might try putting him on a narrow shoulder body.

Got him earlier today and finally had a chance to open him up. First impression is the likeness is much better inperson. Someone said he looks more like Ford without the hat and I agree with that thought. Although I love this hat more than SS's. One sad fact on mine is that the PERS are slightly off. I can futz with them to make them look fairly even, but a slight move up, down, left, right and I can see the offness (not a real word). I'm going to open it up and see if I can straighten them out.

Nevermind. Taking it apart would require me to pry that whole neck post off. And then I would have to break off one of the eyes off and reglue it. I thought about returning it, but with the other PERS figures I have I really don't move the eyes around. I found a position I can live with.

I'd like to see a picture of the 'offness', Ripper. If you want to record it, might help if you decide to replace it.

I'm growing more tempted to remove the "eyeliner" on mine. There does seem to be some black smear on the lower lids which doesn't help and someone here removed it... gonna need a magnifier glass first.

Here's a pic Gar:

Thanks! It's kind of hard to tell but I do see the drifting right eye. Gonna make me go check mine now...

Raymond did it with goof off and a toothpick I seem to recall.

FYI, I also seem to recall he took too much off and had to touch it up with paint...

Yep, you are correct. That was him. Yikes now I have to worry about taking too much off. Not worth the risk now.

Maybe I'll just use a slight dab of flesh paint and smear it on the dark...

I thought the Toyworld mod was simply pushing the PERS eyes up closer against the eyesockets so there isn't as much space/shadow around the eyesockets creating the illusion of "guyliner."

It's only slightly off, but enough for me to notice. If you look at the pic Indy's left eye has white underneath. The right does not.

There's that step too. Actually there is some darker paint on the lip of the lower eyelid -- I can see it on mine and I've seen it in some others' close-up pics. It's very subtle and I'm not sure what truly makes the guyliner, probably a combination of everything. I would like to lose it though. My Indy looks tired with dark circles under his eyes.

I cant take a decent picture. But in person it looks more like Harrison Ford. All in all I would say that this is near perfect

Loving the turban, but with the muscle body, Indy shirt and arab coat on, he's looking a little snug in the chest/upper arms.

You could try it without the Indy shirt, but I know you did a lot of futzing on that shirt (and it looked great with the water treatment)!

I took a look at the movie and he definitely doesn't wear that Indy shirt under the arab robe though!

Thanks. That not the muscle body, it's a narrow shoulder TT.

Come on, Eric. Contribute you must. I don't take great pics either but I take alot of 'em anyway.

People seem to really like this one because of the way the hat's tilted.

All I see it the little threads on the tips of the jacket collars.

Mines is on a Narrow Shoulder TT. I just kind of bunched up the robe sleeves to add wrinkles. Maybe I'll pull them down and smooth them out a little.

Finally got mine from AE!!!
:rock!!
Pure awesomeness!!!
I'll be shooting a bunch of pictures tomorrow or Saturday...
I tried to put the Sovereign Studios jacket, but doesn't quite fit... and the sleeves are too long...
Still, HT did a damn good job on Indy!
Love it!
:rock!

How "too long" are they?
I ask cause over on Indygear, they suggest a sleeve that goes to the first knuckle of the thumb (for 1:1 scale) as thats how Ford's jacket was in the film.
If it's significantly longer than that, then yeah.. too long.

With the arms by the sides, to the first knuckle of the thumb is right. Slightly baggy sleeves. It is these nuances that create the look of the Raiders jacket. And the look of a great Raiders figure :wink1:

'First knuckle to the thumb' leather jacket rule is more because leather will ride up over time so its best when custom making it to get it a little longer initially. Not so much of a problem on toys I don't think :)

Wow - that's on a narrow TT? That Indy shirt is pretty thick fabric, do you want to try Arab look without it underneath? Maybe it's the pose, but it's a bit like Arnuld wearing a regular guy's shirt in those upper arms. So perfectly futzed otherwise.

Yes, if you look closely at the wrist pegs you will see the difference in color to the Indy gripping hands. I just remember the HT Indy came with extra wrist pegs and exchanged the Narrow wrist pegs. Also pulled down the Robe sleeves like I said I would. That's what made his arms look bulky. Also want him to wear the shirt underneath because of the difference in color between the Narrow and the HT Indy, along with the fact that there's a neck joint on the Narrow. Looks better now. And don't forget, the camera adds 10 lbs :rotfl
