Anyone hyped with the batman craziness going on might be a chance for a Indy 2.0 hopefully based off Tod.

Very doubtful. I think this was a one and done type deal.

Only reason we are getting another Batman is because theres another film to help build hype and sales. Indy has probably been the worse selling DX to date. Which is too bad.

Not sure about that- sold out at SS and several other sites for awhile now- and Jack Sparrow STILL available??

Agree though that is it for Indy...at least for a long long time.

2014.

30th Anniversary of TOD.

TOD DX would rule. I know it's sacrilegious but I was always more partial to TOD than ROTLA.

Is it worth it to pick this up at this point? I have always been a big Indy fan but I've seen all the gripes people have with it. I personally don't see the likeness fully being there like everyone else, but would you recommend getting it? Or wait on a TOD DX? :impatient:

I really doubt we will get another HT DX Indy. And Im in the camp that actually likes the DX05.

I love TOD, too. Warts 'n all! (i.e., Willie & Shorty!)

Well you never know with HT anymore. They might have a surprise in a year too and the Joker 2.0 was unexpected. Maybe that will be a start of a trend of redone former figures.

...I'm dying for a 2.0 Aliens line.

Everything is eventual now.....its not if, its just when....

Hot Toys is dealing with Lucasfilm still and are doing Star Wars figures. Indy ToD would allow them to reuse a lot of costume parts.

Sideshow is upping their game dramatically with the new Boba Fett and Darth Vader ....for all we know Indy ToD could be coming from there.

Enterbay are reaching out in a lot of new directions and have done an 'utlimate unison' Star Wars figure with Medicom already. And they're obviously going for huge icons for their 1/4 line. Wouldnt shock me at all if they've got feelers out to produce a 1/4 Indy figure.

Its just a question of how long you want to wait really. The only thing we can't predict is when.....do you care if you have wait 3+ years?

DX TOD Indy with white tux.... pleeeeease !! Nurhachi urn, stones, two heads, one for fedora adventure gear (torn shirt) one head for tuxedo... sigh

The timeframe isn't a issue for me personally. I'm a big Indy fan, but I'm not in desperate need of the fig immediately. I would rather have a figure announced and delayed a few times so it's fully completed and has the true likeness.

Sideshow indicated several years ago that TOD would be their next focus, but it has come to nothing so far. They did mention a TOD Indy (along with a Shorty and hinted at Mola) and a mine cart environment.

You'd have to think it's kind of easy for HT to do a TOD Indy though - they have the body, the clothes, hat, boots, everything ready to go. And you know HT likes to reuse stuff.

And it may not have been that well received, but I don't think the ROTLA figure was a sales dud.

If HT does do the TOD Indy. I believe he needs the sacrifice lair as the diorama with a Skull monument to put the stones in it.

Would you want the torn shirt look to Indy? I thought that was the most badass look for him.

Torn shirt is a must, but I would hope they include a "clean" version of his outfit as well like when he first lands in India. I know Sideshow still has that mine car in their back pocket, so I really do hope HT goes forward with a new and improved TOD Indy at least to make up for the terrible likeness in their first release. But I'm guessing they'll hold off for a while. One more year, perhaps?

How old is the Indy DX at this point? Year to two years seems reasonable. Also it was stated earlier that the 30th anniversary of TOD is coming up. Time doesn't matter, as long as they nail it this time.

There is more possibilties with stands and dioramas with a TOD. I think the best base for him would be a section of the rope bridge.

Announced Christmas 2010, released early October 2011.

Previous to the announcement, there was no indication that Hot Toys was working on an Indiana Jones figure - it was pretty sudden.

I remember Sideshows announcements ....I can't be certain, but I'm fairly sure it was the sub-licensing to Hot Toys and their production of the Raiders figure that postponed (indefinitely it seems) the Sideshow Indy ToD.

The 30th Anniversary of TOD seems like a good opportunity to release a TOD Indy. So I'd say no sooner than next SDCC will we see a new figure announcement, so it arrives the following summer of 2014.

just scored a $100 giftcard from SDCC so i'll be ordering my second DX Indianna Jones figure for $150...I love this figure, those who bash it must not have it in hand.
