2 weeks is still pretty quick - if you consider how many MJ fans there are, how many HT collectors there are, the cheaper price than say, BBTS, & if there are as many people buying two as there seems to be, that 113 will be down to zero in no time!

I'm actually wondering if this is the start of a new price structure for MJ. While he is a great looking figure (and comes with lots of hands and an extra head and extra outfit). I would say this is still more in line with a $140-$150 price tag based on previous figures.
BR Joker is comparable or Two Face, just not sure the $50 jump is to cash in on MJ fever, or if its a sign of things to come.

2) Smile Sculpt - I hope HT confirms which they'll use but it's now looking like the Proto Sculpt with inapproriate expression for Thriller

Maybe MJ's likeness is more expensive than some other properties. Or maybe it went up since his death. Joe's got to pay for that world tour.

It's not the License fees because those were set with the Contract with HT long ago. BJ Fig was much less with same likeness deal.
This is greed run amok. I hope prices come down with 2nd run. The edition size for this may be quite large. If the ES is smaller, makes more sense.

True, also came with a glove, hat and mic stand. Still 200 is alot for this. If it had PERS eyes and yellow eyes head it might make more sense. Oh, and popcorn box too!

Well I paid $189.99
I remember when the BR Joker came out it was priced at $159.99 and it only came with an extra head, I don't remember any complaining (price) back then.
Its a borderline DX figure so I find the price realistic.

Still, one must have this. Better to pay this price than ebay prices.
Also, companies like SideShow permit retailers to sell over their MRSP, even suspending their ability to sell product. I learned this through a seller. I don't know what Hot Toys policies are, but it maybe similar. Or maybe not.
