HT original Predator- photo thread

My Stan's Predator after 3 days of hard paint and customizing job.

There is many in-progress videos on the You-Tube (it's in Russian, but I'm trying to give all needed tips in the descriptions). Work is yet not done, it's around 90% complete now. But it's much better now, seems to me. Hope you'll enjoy it!

Great work man, especially the detail inside the mouth area..loads better then the stock paint.

Also, notice that it will be much more cooler if you add some more black spots on his face and shrink the like on his forehead. Hope that it will help somebody to make this great figure much more better! Thank for watching.

Man that looks awesome and a lot more accurate. I want that done...but I never take the Bios off any of my Predators so it's sorta pointless for me. But awesome work man.

You know... I was thinking the same way.
I've got my ElderP2, ElderAvP1, Lost and Wold Predators displayed unmasked (I've preorder the common AvP:R diorama, so that's why wolf will be unmasked). And I was thinking: "Hmmm... I need other guys to be in bios, coz... well, I need predators in bios, but I need to repaint P1's armor anyway..." And so it began! Once started to improve your P1 you won't be able to stop doing it until it will be near to 1\6-action-figure perfection. You know why? COZ THIS IS THE FIRS AND COOLEST PREDATOR EVER, goddamit! So I say, don't start improving him or you won't stop.

Can't wait for the Summer to go into the forest and photo him there! I should say "thanks" to HotToys here, this figure is not perfect at all, but it's very good indeed. Cool to have it in 1\6 scale.

PS All my band hanging around here, but this video is pretty old (Lost and P1 are unfinished.

Even for $185 that's pretty good too. Prices have gone up on this piece it seems. Was it a regular or exclusive?

I snagged mine for around $140 about 7-8 months ago. Really an incredible figure, and apparently very collectible considering the price hike. $185 is still a good deal though, i've seen a few approach the $250-$270 range on eBay.

$250-$270 is a bit high. But I can imagine it going higher as time goes on. Most HT Preds tend to go up in value (Lost Pred and Machiko being the few minor exceptions.)

I had been watching GoHastings pretty close becuase I knew they had some and was almost ready to pounce when they offered the discount. I dont remember who posted that but thanks a lot. I had no choice at that point and had to. The funny thing is, I was going to pick it up at the retail location till the discount hit and so I ordered it instead and saved $35 in the process.

Indeed but this is a must have. One of the biggest sci-fi icons of all time. And Hot Toys did an amazing job. It would easily fall to the top of your list.

Regular one. You cant get EX ones from Ebay? Not new anyway?
I think 180 is ok, i paid 450 for the HT BD T-800 Endo
