Well I guess we know now why HT didn't include that light up feature in the previous Predators.

they did it with the nostromo figures and they sold for a buck fifty..

I think this is more a case of "consumer desire" dictating the price.

You can't blame HT...every company does it. It's just a part of doing business.

Funny thing is...this Pred will still sell out FAST!

I don't think they'll end up being that much.. longtime HK ebayers are selling for around $150. I bet we're looking at that price point..

So far on ebay Ive seen Pred for $160, Dutch $140 and Billy $120.
Prices are allover the place you would think Dutch and Billy would
at least be the same price.

Thats kinda where I am getting to now, figures are getting to expensive for me to spend the extra shipping + paint fees to get them fixed. Before it wasnt so bad, but now its a lot harder

My problem isn't so much the cost for repainting although that is a factor. But some of the best painter's here, DA being one of em, are so busy with life, love and other commissions, that it could take up to almost a year to get this thing painted and added to the collection. If you buy the fig in two weeks, get it in 5-6 months, it could take you another 6-10 months for a repaint. Hell, I've got 3 commissions out right now that have been out there for almost 8 months now. If that's the case, it could be 2010 before you finally add Billy to the collection.

Just wish HT could have done it right from the start.

Other than that, they look great.

I guess it's knowing people will pay more to get a certain actor, everyone's heard of Schwarzenneger but who would really know who Sonny Landham was.

Yeh your prob right, those prices are all from the same seller.
I wonder how much SS will have it for?? I've bought majority of my
preds from abc-express and he is usually cheaper than SS by $15.
Haven't found him on the bay yet with this new pred.

That is correct. Now you can all stop panicking about the price. I guarantee that the Pred will be about US$160.

Imagine if Billy looked NOTHING like Billy. Then you'd have to commission a head sculpt PLUS paint. As is, even without a repaint the head sculpt is recognizeable as Billy from Predator. Don't blame HT etc. blame the ********* actors that won't let companies make figures of them. Like Sonny Landham for example.

I don't blame HTs, I'm sure they tried but the asking price was probably too high. Add in the fact that this fig will be the lowest seller of the bunch, and I'm sure it didn't cost out. This is assuming SL was willing to allow it but just wanted more than HT was willing to fork over.

I missed out on the Colonial Marines, so I intend on getting the pred 1 bunch. I just hope they do em all, or most of em and I can justify having the repaints done or be able to do a satisfactory job myself.
