i'll probably go ahead and order from cornerstore......shipping from toys2 is a bit pricey and i can wait a month more to recieve my fig.

My guess is a percentage of all sales, if the company holding the rights is smart. Percentage would likely yield more than a flat fee unless the flat fee was so huge no figure sales percentage could top it, but if they get the rights at a flat fee and can make a number of figures off it, 2 Dutch figures with his likeness could rake in a good ammount of percentage money but because he took a flat fee for less, HT makes out, that'd be bad negotiations on the part of his likeness holders.

What really amazes me is that not the film company, but some independent group holds the rights to his likeness. I wonder if that means everything Sideshow does of his likeness has to go through both T2 licenses and this independent group. That's crazy.

Most licensing agreements pay an advance or a guarantee against receipts. So you pay them something up front and then a percentage of sales after the advance is met.

Oak is Arnold's production company - it's him, but his incorporated version. Since there was no merchandising agreement for this film they had to negotiate separately for his likeness. With T2 and T3 the likeness rights for merchandising would come with his performance contract for the film, so they didn't need to go to Oak.

Thanks for the info. So is Oak behind some of his films? I've never noticed the name before watching anything he's made.

got my order in for the predator at cornerstorecomics, probley will order another from someone else, i want 2, haven't decided on dutch yet.

I've decided, I'm getting one from Toys2 as soon as they have it, and my second from SSC, exclusive or not, that way if I opt to not get 2 I can cancel easy enough.
