Do you even own one?
No, because he's too skinny :p
Like AdamBombOi said the old model kits and statues are dead accurate. Because the HT figures are jointed they will NEVER be as accurate as the aforementioned.
Perhaps, but they've come damn close to perfection with the new body for the original Predator, and for that I am grateful. I'm not saying that the P2 elder wasn't Hot Toys best figure to date; rather, they've really outdone themselves with the Predator everybody wants, as well they should :)

He's just fantastic! :D I'd like to see someone kitbash elder's head and accessories onto a P1 body; I think that could really be something.

P1 looks so nice because they've continued the chain from Wolf and made many of the armor elements just sculpted parts of the body instead of going over it.

I believe the long "nose" area on the Predator's face that Devil 666 pointed out is what's by extension making his helmet too large; a longer face means a longer helmet.

Then I'll show you :p Hot Toys Elder's torso is too skinny and short for his head, arms, and armor. His massive forarms don't help matters either, but he appears to have the body of a little girl predator; it's completely consumed in his armor and accessories. Like I said, I'm very glad they didn't reuse elder predator for the P1 Predator.

wow......that arnold/pred pic is incredible, i cant believe how great the likenesses are for both. i really dont know how hot toys does it.

Havn't bought any Predators since the four AvP Preds (Scar, Celtic, Chopper and Elder), so this will be my first in a while.

I was afraid it would be sculpted on as well after seeing the gauntlet pose in this pic. I dislike the sculpted armour, because it inhibits posing a bit. After looking a bit harder though, you can see the netting going under the gauntlet in this pic, and into the shin armour in this pic. Unless they found a way to sculpt it allowing the netting to be inserted into it I'd wager they're using elder pieces again. Would definitely make sense from a business standpoint as well.

You reminded me that I did a custom P1 using alot of the P2 elder gear plus an avp elder head and a P2 body.......updated shelves section :naughty can't wait to line the two up against each other.

That is a good shot. I am really looking forward to this guy.

Hopefully the actual figure will live up to the pics.

From looking at the pics I think the shin armor is affixed to the leg. It looks like the netting that goes through the knee armor could be tucked in or just at the edge of the shin armor.
It also just looks molded rather than a seperate piece.
If that were the only place they used molded parts then I would be fine with it as there would be no restriction on poseability.

I'm not so sure on on the shin armor... the P2 Elder was a pain in the arse to get on, and those were skin tight.

I'm just glad the belt/skirt/groin armor looks to be one piece, the Elder's was such a pain I said '^^^^ it' and half assed it.

I'm just happy the loin cloth is cloth and not molded plastic, that took Wolf down a peg in quality to me.

Only armor I've had an issue with is the P2's torso, the soft plastic clips used to connect it in the back is just an ugly design trying to get them to lock in.

Theoretically, P1's shoulder pieces can be one unit with straps.
