Now, regarding the original Mask coming out with the Battle Damaged, I think that is really poor form on both Hot Toys & SSC. I mean for everyone that purchased the original for the same price with less accessories, I think that is insulting your customers (quite directly) right there! I'm a little offended and I didn't get the first issue! I did buy an origial mask loose from eBay though.

So this thing comes with everything the first version has in addition to an Alien skull, switchable mandibles, additional breath mask, switchable severed left arm and working med kit with removable tools all for the exact same price as the original?

The original bio is better anyways man, i dont know why everyone wants the SSC one with the half crushed bio.. it looks stupid imo, not movie accurate at all

Yeah i do bro its paid for and im just waiting for it with my Wolf. I got the Regular P2 already so im gonna sell the clean Bio that the Battle damaged one comes with because i wanna display this one with the open mouth sculpt seeing as my P2 next to me has his mask on

Have we confirmed that the BD Pred 2 comes with the regular bio mask, not the medical one, but the full covering bio mask?

EDIT- Just saw the picture, I feel people's pain that got the first one and now see a better figure released, but this is great for me as I missed out on the P2, have been hunting it for a few weeks and now can get everythign I wanted that one for plus the BD stuff for retail price. Glad I've been holding off cancelling my BD order until I saw where things were at.

I am very cynical about this release by Hot Toys, feels like a slap in the face to all those who bought the first version.

Is this sort of thing commonplace in the sixthscale market?

Interesting developments... can't say I'm surprised, tho. It would've been cool if they (HT) had put all of those extras in with the first one and just charged a little more for it. We all know it, and they know it too, but unfortunately, it's plainly clear they're in it for the money, not to do us a service. I'm not thrilled by such practices, but this kind of thing is not uncommon here in the Far East.


I have no idea now what the Sideshow exclusive will come with... in addition to the damaged bio-mask. I don't care about the mask all that much and will probably display him without it anyway. If he only comes with the damaged mask it won't matter either, 'cause I already have the first P2. I really do hope he comes with both masks, so any of you who missed out the first time around will get the "full set" this time. But better keep your finger crossed, just in case...

I just ordered the regular BD figure, not the SSC Exclusive, the damaged mask means nothing to me as it's not part of the film, so this BD figure looks to satisfy what I wanted in a P2 figure entirely.

I'm going to guess that the SSC version has only the damaged bio mask because my first thought seeing the regular in the tray was that HT probably decided it was cheaper to only design 1 new tray, and to fill in the mask slot on the non-SSC figures, they threw the regular bio mask in.

Well, I hope it turns out you're wrong about that, 'cause I went ahead and ordered the exclusive, but like I said before, it doesn't matter, since I already have the regular mask.

Thanks, depending on how minimal or excessive the blood paint is, I may have Les repaint it to get rid of the effect and have a pure Predator, as I imagine the BD is only painted blood and not actually deformation of the figure body to suggest bullet wounds.

Since I'm gonna have two of 'em, I'm thinking of adding the actual wounds to make the second one a film-accurate version. I don't think the wounds are part of the figure. The blood is only painted on, as you say, and it doesn't look all that accurate from the pics I've seen so far. (Les would do a knockout job for you in that department.) I want to go even farther and put some holes in him, right where the hits he received in the movie should be, then add the blood, using the movie for reference. That way I'll have both a before and after version of good ol' P****-face!

Last night I received an email from Sideshow stating my wait list BD SS Exclusive Predator had been activated. Normally I would be thrilled. But now that I know for a fact the regular one comes with a full bio helmet, I don't know what to do, the only way that the SS EX is worth it, is if it comes with the damaged bio and the full one. Does anyone think Sideshow knows whats in the box ? After all it has their name attached to it.

I may be wrong, but I think we had settled on the premise that the SSC exclusive comes with everything the regular edition has... PLUS the damaged bio. If that is still the case, then can't we assume it includes both bio-masks, since we now know the regular edition comes with an undamaged one? Guess we won't know till someone has it in hand, but it seems this could (should) be the case.

That is also a likely possibility, but it won't bother me if it turns out to be true. And I've gotten used to the "multiple variant syndrome", having lived in Asia for many years. Squeezing every last yen out of consumers is SOP, especially in the toy industry. I do understand the feelings of people who aren't used to that sort of thing, tho.

All I really wanted was the medkit, the alien skull, and another P2 figure to customize, so I'll be satisfied with it in any case.
