I'm so excited now, that main reason I wanted the BD figure was the new head and the Alien skull, I figured I might be able to get them later on eBay to go with a regular P2, but I hated having to take that chance. seems now I won't have to.

What the deuce? Regular edition has a full bio mask? I wanted a full bio mask!!! If the SS exclusive edition doesn't include both, I might as well cancel my order and buy the the regular edition somewhere else for $15 cheaper.

Ya, that's the other benefit of this, I might have had to wait a few more weeks just to hunt down the regular let alone ship it, but SSC should be shipping the BD's real soon
This is why I buy a lot through SSC, they may be pricier on disti items, but their CS and order policies really benefit the collector. With some other etailer, I might have cancelled the BD a week or 2 ago, but since Sideshow's accommodating, I've been waiting.I suggest someone contact SSC about what's included in their version, or at least make them aware of the situation so maybe they'll hold off pre-authing SSC exclusives until they can provide customers with the full 411 on what is in the box.

Why would Sideshow know? They are just the distributors. Hot Toys are famous for their misinformation and milking. Just call them M&M's. I don't think they'll bother making details known about their figures any time soon. Even when Dusty tried finding out, she was given an ambiguous explanation to pass on. "comes with everything the regular does plus the mask" I believe was the answer. By that, it must mean it comes with both masks I would imagine, or like to imagine. Then again, that explanation was pre this new information about the regular BD. So we are back to square one.

For a normal Hot Toys release, maybe. But they've clearly negotiated for a "Sideshow Exclusive" version of the figure, so someone at Sideshow must know the details, but maybe not the people answering the phones.
Did the SSC Exclusive AVP Elder come with both masks or just the alternate one?
I'd use that as a template, if that Pred came with both, this one likely will, if it only came with the variant, then I'd guess getting the SSC version is a unique one, but it's not an all encompassing piece and your trade off is get the neat exclusive or get the regular figur with the things you want.
I remember the sketchiness surrounding the Ripley with Power Loader issue, it was a week or 2 before SSC was able to confirm that HT would be including the Ripley figure.

That same Sideshow exclusive has just been released as a VIP exclusive. So it may just be badge packaging. I have a VIP one ordered through ebay. When it comes in I'll let you know. Then there's blister exclusives, but I fail to see what the difference is between there's and a regular release. I will say it is very confusing though.

From what I can tell from the pics posted. The "regular" bd version will come with the non-damaged bio helmet, and the SSC Ex. will come with the damaged bio mask.
Both releases look to come with identical accessories except for those noted differences.
I guess it's all comes down to which version of the mask you prefer to have. Good news is, there will be more non-damaged bio masks on ebay, as people part them out.
I'll try to pick one up then, and have the ultimate Pred 2.

Don't get me wrong as I lucked out in passing on the first one.
But since when did buying a Hot Toys figure mean you get treated like an "early adopter?"
I'm not sure I should have pre-ordered Wolf Predator in case this might happen to him. Hey, any of you who actually saw AvP:R, is there a BIG chance of a second release like this on him?
Off the top of my head, there's nothing in Wolf's arsenal that isn't already with the figure coming out, so what they could do with a BD figure other than have it with blood on it is beyond me, probably some sort of fantasy concept.
Wolf takes a few bullets to his mask, so maybe they could do a bullet shot version but that's all I can imagine. I think what comes with the figure now will make Wolf and all encompassing figure unlike this P2.

Judging from this picture, the BD arm shares the forearm-bicept connector of the full arm, I figure dit would have had it's own connector.
