Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

unbelievable!!!! i would have NEVER known those were of the figure if you hadn't told us! It just goes to show not only how amazing this figure is, but how talented you are as a figure poser and photographer.

My thoughts exactly. Great work as always Mag. :blackbat

And i sat down and put the figure through its paces, or poses, the next 3 pics are attempts at recreating pictures from the promo photos of bale in the suit, i just did the three most interesting poses out of the set:

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

those are bad-ass pics Magnuz :rock I thought the crouching one was actually Bale!

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

For everyone who has it, are you able to bend the figure down on one knee with relative ease (and have it look natural like in Magnuz's pic?

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Thanks guys, way to kind but thanks. To answer couple questions, i haven't modded my batman at all, and as for crouching it goes along with getting him to look good without modding, its all about care and time in posing. You can do alot with these guys if you take the time and care to pose them, it helps if you've worked with the HT bodies sans clothes to know how they move, the only limit i've found with this figure compared to regular ones is that his hips dont move as far back as normal. I can see now why guys shaved his butt cheeks.

And yes i did move the eyes on the last two pics, since in promo shots he had his head facing one way and his eyes looking at the camera heh.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Don't suppose you have a hi-res of the kneeling down pose?

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Awesome shots Magnuz and Sean! I can't compete but here's mine. I just opened him today and i think he looks great, especially next to Joker.

i think it's weird how people can look at that poster and not see the obvious added girth. hell it's even more obvious in that PS with him on the cop car.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I'll probably redo it now that I've fixed the little belly issue, but thought mine matches the mass of the poster shot pretty good.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

ITs never going to be perfect, its still just a toy even though its an amazing one, its just trying to get a close recreation.

Personally the closest i've ever managed is thsi one:
nhtbatlit.jpg

But it can vary with the figure and the poster, that TDK poster is hard to recreate becasue of the background and the color/smoke effects. And having them both i think the TDK figure tends to look best when posed, while the begins suit looks best just standing there.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

i'm not complaining about it(and i think it's a good fig), i just think it's funny people have no problem with the added girth when people here gripe about more inane things.

i'm pretty forgiving of innaccuracies, but ignoring this body builder in the bat-suit is hard for me.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

In person it doesn't bother me, he can look chunky in pictures, but like i said it depends, just standing straight and not to much futzing he can look funky but posed or tweaked he can look pretty spot on, the most prominent thing is his chest armor is a bit big but overall he's pretty well proportioned.
