That's good of them.
I never even got a reply when my Joker broke at the thigh about 5 mins out of the box.
It is a pain with the cape stubs sticking out though. What's the best way to "futz" them?
Long time reader, first time poster. I've been following this thread (and others) for months, and finally got my Hot Toys Dark Knight today. This is only my second Hot Toys figure, the other being their Predator 2 (non-damaged version) figure. The Dark Knight is absolutely phenomenal! I had no idea his costume would be so realistically fitted onto the body, as opposed to molded plastic. Once you get him posed, he can be startlingly realistic. I'm totally blown away.
A couple of quibbles though.
After seeing the dude who broke his hand peg, I'm terrified by swapping out hands. With the Predator figure, each hand had its own pegs so if the pegs pulled out of the arm instead of the hand (like they always do) that wasn't a problem. I may try what CristiMAN did and see if I can get Hot Toys to send me an envelope of spare pegs. I love though that his hands are softer and more rubber as opposed to the Predator's solid plastic hands; it makes fitting accessories into his hands far more elegant.
I've had trouble keeping his belt on, but I've figured out that there's enough leeway for me to fit a finger between his body and his belt so I can better fasten it.
The cape isn't quite as well sewn on the right peg as it is on the left peg, at least on mine. Not a huge deal though.
Overall though, I'm super impressed. I'd take pictures, but they wouldn't do him justice and they'd be piss poor compared to some people's photos on here.
Yeah, on mine I took out the hand and the peg came with it, but it's not really a problem, I was able to get the peg out by twisting it and slowly pulling it out, then I just switched the hand. It shouldn't be a problem though, this is a collectible and I'll probably only change out the hands like maybe 5 times in my life so it's not like it's going to be used a lot.
mine just arrived today and i love it!!! however, i'm really confused with how the cape attaches around the shoulder.
Same here. The cape was not attatched in the box. How far are you supposed to push the notched ends of the cape into the shoulders? I pushed them in but they keep falling out.
Indeed. The changing of hands is no problem to me too, as usualy I will only change them 5 times in lifetime, like you. But when you have a batpod preordered, that´s another thing. To put the figure in the batpod you need the hands to be easy to change. otherwise it becomes a nightmare to show off the figure. And at my home, these figures are a pure show to my guests...
