I'm waiting until it arrives on Ebay, should get a good price for it there.Worried about the shipping to Australia though, because of the size. Some sites over here in Oz are pre-ordering it for$1400!!!!!!!!! Geeeeezzzzzzzzzz

Yes but especially for a piece like this is good to buy directly from Sideshow as If something gets broken during shipment you have returns options.

Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper coming in 30 days in the US:emperor

Looks like I'll be calling customer service and have my cc charged for the full amount. I've only been hit with one flex-pay charge so far and want to make sure that I won't be delayed on getting this piece!!!

Don't understand why people cancelling this one. I love it and can't wait to get my paws on it!

It's going to be a race, then. If I don't get my tax return in time, I won't be able to pay for this.

:horror

I knew I shouldn't have spent my saved up speeder bike money on Christmas presents...

Ummm ... expensive? I thought that was pretty clear. I mean, who wouldn't want to have this piece -- it's stunning! But when it comes to having either a new statue or a new fence for my yard, it's a tough decision but a foregone conclusion.

I'm envious of all those who get to keep it. :( Looks like my complete line will come up broken.

Ok, that is true regards to the price. I didn't read all the post but I assumed its because of the higher production numbers that turns people off and cancelled instead of the price tag. I mean, one have to look at the price tag before commiting to a pre-order.

Price is the first and formost reason. There would be a lot more Vanhelsings in collections if Price wasn't an issue!

Plus GIJoe is coming!

Maybe SS should lower their price in this case!

Which also reminds me, why are all the stuff made of cheap polystone and not resin or fiberglass?

Polystone=seriously brittle and too heavy. Correct me if I am wrong.

canceled mine - too much money - no space - not worth it in the end for me

waitlisters rejoice!
I hope mine can find a happy home :)

hate to cancel this since the PF anakin is awesome. But price and yes, a high edition its a easy decision. I'll have to shop around, or wait for SS to discount it. I dont see this selling out for a long time, how many will really keep their order?

I know I will. Of course I didn't order from SS either but I'm still part of the ES. Can't wait to finally get this piece in hand. I gotta take my ass to Ikea and get some shelving :monkey1

You stand corrected. :D

Seriously, the weight is one of the most appealing qualities of polystone. It makes the piece feel like a real sculpture instead of just a cheap plastic toy. The fact that Boba Fett was made of ABS instead of polystone was the biggest complaint of that particular piece. When I picked mine up from the box, I felt like I was holding a doll. Only when he was put on display was I able to wipe that from my mind. So, yeah. The weight is important.

And there's nothing cheap about polystone, nor do I think it can be called "brittle." Fragile, maybe. But it's tough as nails, durable, and, from what I hear, takes paint better than any other medium. Which is a key factor, I'm sure, in the superior appearance of the pieces from Sideshow and Weta.

I canceled this one awhile ago and never looked back.

I can't afford it. Plain and simple.

There are other things coming out, I'd rather have.

For me space is an issue i don't have any space, but i still want it i cancelled my order back in nov but i do plan to pick it up on a second chance or the bay.:monkey2

I'll have to temporarily cancel this piece:monkey2 Hopefully it will be up for second chance and i can get it on flexpay later this year.

Many have already cancelled. Many more will cancel when SS tells us that they are about to charge the cards.

1500 is a lot to go around at $800 a pop plus tax (for some) and shipping. When it's time to pay up, not everyone who ordered will be able to follow through.

They should of kept the edition size at around 500. There still would of been plenty of cancelations at this price point (in my opinion).

At $800 and an edition size of 1,500 this piece will be available on second chance for a long, long time......

Not only at second chance--but at retailers for a much lower price point. Shame about the amount of pieces. At 500 or even 350 this would have sold-out no question and made it viable for multiple other big PF's to be released. Now?... Not so sure.

They really should look into using ABS on these.
