I was born in the 80s, I could not "Enjoy" the 80s

I was able to enjoy the 90s,

not everyone is an old fart you know...
besides you guys love some of the things the 90s are famous for, so it is pretty stupid,

terminator 2 came out in the 90s, Jurassic Park, the X Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Seinfeld, The Big Lebowski, Dumb and Dumber, Fight Club, The Matrix, Blade, The Silence of The Lambs, Shawshank Redemption, Predator 2, ( i could go on forever)

I bet a lot of these things are in your collections, a lot of these movies and shows probably make your top ten favorites,

so, don't be hypocritical guys

Nope, Terminator 2 and that's it, because it's Arnold!

Then why are you in an 80's thread at all ? :dunno

...R U N - D M C...
Rock box!! And ryding around on my pushy pretending i was Jack Burton from big trouble in little china with my rubber throw knife trying to nail several attemps at Lopanning my friends straight between the eyes of the fore head so i could utter those words "Its all in the reflexes" Lo-pan style bahahaha Or i would run from the three storms. Unfortunately my budget was my back yard so the 3 storms were My Dog, My clothesline and my other dog. My main dog had a wonky eye so he filled in for Egg Shen too :) true story!!!

Then why are you in an 80's thread at all ? :dunno

I popped in to see what everyone was talking about,
then I asked the simple question of Why there was not a I miss the 90s thread,

then I got a bunch of hell answers about how stupid and dumb the 90s was
so then I had to defend the 90s because the 80s was just as stupid,
and Like I said, I am a child of the 90s,

IF you want to know why this escalated so much it was the fault of Skiman,Evilface, and your own fault bob

Because his favorite group, WHAM!, is an 80's group. :lecture:lecture:lecture:exactly:

Nope, NOT even CLOSE!
my Favorite band IS slipknot Buddy, Im real hardcore like that

I prefer the 80's culture, but I think The Matrix Trilogy and The Shawshank Redemption are some of the best movies ever. I like them both more than T2. I also liked Blade. Seven Years in Tibet, Beauty and The Beast, Mulan, and one of the best films of all time, The Lion King. It's greatness is unquestionable.

The 80’s and 90’s both rocked! At the moment I’m trying to track down the most iconic toys of my childhood. Not going down the video game route as PC emulators can cover that, so M.A.S.K, G1 Transformers and so on mint in box, not the whole line just one or two of the best from each. Aww just picked up aload of vintage garbage pail kids cards:yess:

You went from M.A.S.K., and G1 Transformers and went to Garbage pail kids in the same post. Really?
I liked both MASK and G1 Transformers. I have the MASK Hurricane 57 Chevy, because I have a 57 Chevy. I have most of the G1 transformers I want except for Shockwave, Optimus Prime, and Sunstreaker. I also wanted the Decepticon Jets and Jazz. I think I have Bluestreak, but he is silver instead of the blue and silver two tone shown on the box. What happened with that?

Who's Bob?

Let me get one thing clear, movies are a huge part of life and I love films from all eras.

Anyway, not to belabor the point. but movies alone do not make up an era. It has to do with a little of everything.

Movies, music, change, trends, innovation, style. The whole shebang.

I just feel that having gone through the 70's, 80's, 90's and now the post 2000 years the 80's really stand out as a great era for all thing in general.

You can feel the same about the 90's and go and make that thread and prove that point.

But we here like what we like. And it is your right to like what you like.

No, I haven't. Mine is in the box, but I cut out the file card. It is complete in a 8-9 condition box, though. The figure itself is a 9-10 condition. Never really played with.
I went to a store called Service Merchandise in 1986, where they had one Optimus Prime in the display case, when every other store was out. I asked the manager if I could buy it and he said no, because they needed it for the display. I said, if you aren't going to get any more in, as all of the other stores are out, what is the point of displaying something that you will never sell again? He still said no. He was such a prick.
