I think I'm done collecting.

If i was able to,i would sell anything i have without thinking about it.I live a calm and relaxed life besides work,i can be extremly bored at times and spend alot of time at home and i think that is one of the reasons i collect, looking for joy when im home.
Im sure if i had a more active life i wouldn't be as much into it as i am now, allthough much of my Stallone pieces are keepers for life.

If you want a car,i say go for it,don't let this hobby stand in your way.A Car,a house or whatever that matters in life should be your nr.1 priority, this hobby should be fun and if your budget allows it,spend it on a hobby you like.

you're welcome

I was going to kill it but this might help it. I went and looked at a Challenger today with my dad and I think I found the one that I want.

I was driving a Geo Metro when I was 21. It was a total POS that I was a little embarrassed to be seen in, but it ran good, till I totaled it for being a dumb ass. Didn't buy my first "new" car until I had the job I'm still working today.

How much is the Charger setting you back? Are you buying it, or are your parents helping you out?

Well, I'm attempting to get a loan, hopefully I'll get it and it's around like $22000.

I guess that's not too bad. I was thinking you were getting ready to drop 30k on a car. But it's still a lot of money. More than I'd want to pay when I was 21. Don't forget the insurance. When I was that age, I wanted to have party money on hand, rather than having a nice car and nor being able to go anywhere cause I was broke all the time.

If you have a job and can afford, then more power to you, but it's still more than I could afford when I was 21 working as a lowly cook in the back of a restaurant. Granted, than was 13 years ago, but I don't know that times have changed that much, except probably harder to find a job now.

I would really look into something used, if you don't have much fundage right now after bills/collectibles you are going to be strapped without help from others.... Plus like others have said there's money to have fun with or go out with as well.

I'm sure the lady will want to do some fun exciting things, places to go, events to see, etc...

and if not.... she'll get tired of flipping the bill in a hurry I'm sure.

The Challenger is GUARANTEED to depreciate. It'll be worth less than $10k in 4-5 years.

High end collectibles (>$200) generally appreciate over time. At worst they stay the same price.

Then again if get more joy out of the Challenger in those 4-5 years.....

Right now I have a full time job at a law office and I'm making a pretty good salary, probably a lot more than kids my age are making. As for parting, I really don't party that much. Occasionally go to a bar with my friends. The problem really is I'm letting the collecting get out of hand and if I can slow it down, I think I'll be in the clear. I've been looking at my figures constantly, thinking which one should I sell but another problem is I have customized almost all my figures just a bit. So that's going to make them harder to sell but I'm sure someone will want them.

I guess I'm kind of lucky in a sense because I'm single right now, so I don't have to worry about pleasing the lady but good advice none the less. Thank you.

Very true, but even though this might not end up being true but I plan to have this car for a long time and even if it depreciates it'll still be an awesome car. It's deja vu for me because I said this when I got my first car, the 442. I planned it to be the car I pass on to my kids but that didn't last to long.
