Yeah, buddy! This project is moving along nicely now! :wave I contacted Sunohc this week, and our project is in line to be done after he's finished some commissions. We need to get into contact again with Stevostoys, and see how the John Marston rig is coming along with him. :)

I would be interested.
When you say Marsten Rig from Stevo's, what does that include? I was planning on buying my own items from his site until I saw this post.

Yeah, I'm not sure yet what all will be included in the John Marston rig from Stevostoys. I am hoping that he will include John's gun belt with his pistol holster, and the cool back sling and rifle cradle you see on John's back that holds rifles. I like how it is a "quick-draw" gun cradle on his back where John can easily grab a rifle off of his back quickly when he needs it! :) I don't think that the guns are included in the Marston rig. So we'll have to buy a pistol for the pistol holster, and a rifle, or shotgun for the back cradle holster thing (if Stevostoys makes that for us too. I hope he does!).

So here's to hoping that Stevostoys includes that back rifle cradle sling too! I really hope so! :wave

Here's a picture that I posted earlier in the thread showing John Marston's back gun "cradle" holster piece. It really just holds the gun so he can quickly grab it. It's very cool and very unique I think!

As Lord Vicious pointed out earlier the pin-striped dark gray pants from the Tony Stark Iron Man "Mech Test" figure...are PERFECT for our John Marston! Check them out at this link at Toy Anxiety!

I'm buying a pair of them now! After I get my pair there will be 6 pairs left! Jump on them before they're all gone! Hurry! :) They're selling right now at Toy Anxiety for only $4.99!

Yup, mine are on the way as well. Also got the Aldo Raine satchel, knife and shirt. But the latter may have to be made a bit darker, I'll see when it gets here.

Then some black HT Joker gloves, boots and a weathered black denim jacket with sleeves and Marston is almost there :hi5:

Nice! I may get that same Aldo Raine satchel, knife (because it looks like Marston has a HUGE knife in the game. More like a "Bowie" knife.), and shirt. I want to get that yellowish shirt Marston wears. So the Joker dark denim jacket would work good you think for the one that Marston wears with the cut off sleeves? I found some nice weathered Newline Miniatures cowboy boots at Toy Anxiety tonight. I may get those. But I'm trying to watch my cost on this outfit too. It can add all up pretty fast!

What body are you using for your John Marston Lord Vicious? I'm not sure which one to use. I found one on Toy Anxiety with "realistic arms" that I may use. Here's the link. Take a look at it, and let me know what you think about it...

Yeah, I have that D-boy body as well, actually, but it's not that great. Too muscular for Marston and there re big ugly seams on the rubber arms.

I'm thinking of going for a HT regular body, or maybe one of those with the sculpted forearms, since that is all you see; his elbow is covered up by the shirt, and the wrist by the gloves...

Yeah, I don't want to end up with an ugly body with showing seams on the arms. Even though all we see of Marston's arms are a little of his forearms. The more I look at his outfit in the strategy guide, the more his long sleeved shirt looks...gray. But then again, in some pictures his shirt looks almost khaki brown. A very light brown in the sunlight. So I'm thinking about getting the same shirt as you are. The Aldo Raine shirt. What do you think? I need to look at those Joker boots too. Wouldn't I need to get a Hot Toys Joker body if I go with those boots, and the gloved hands for my Marston? Because I know most, if not all of the Hot Toys bodies have those ball joints at the ankles of the feet that fit into the legs. What are your thoughts then about using a HT Joker body for him? Heath Ledger was a tall guy with a decent build. Not too muscular. So it could work for John Marston don't you think? :dunno

What do yo mean with Joker boots, mate? The HT Joker has clownesque shoes, not cowboy-like at all?

As for the body, the HT Joker uses a common narrow shouldered HT body, so, a good choice. But it doens't have to come from a Joker fig, you can find those bodies with other HT figs as well (Connor, Raine etc)

Oh okay. I had thought you were going to use the Joker's shoes as your boots for your Marston. My mistake. Sorry. :slap

I found some good looking distressed boots made by Newline Miniatures on the Toy Anxiety website. I might get them. I'm not sure. As for John Marston's shirt with the rolled up sleeves, I may go with a light brown shirt. Instead of the Aldo Raine shirt. The Aldo Raine shirt looks more gray to me. I checked the enlarged picture of it at Toy Anxiety now, and it looks gray to me. Are you still going to use that shirt for your Marston?

I'll check around, even on here in the sale thread, for a good HT "True Type" loose figure for my Marston custom. :wave

I sent you a PM. Please get back to me when you can. I really want to try to use one of those TTL bodies for my custom John Marston. Thanks! :wave

TTL body are good man. its a good alternation if you dont want to spend that much on the HT trutype.

Thanks! Yeah, I went ahead and got one of the Star Wars Endor Rebel soldiers from Sideshow from Return Of The Jedi from Toy Anxiety early this morning. He comes with some nice brown gloves on his hands that I'll repaint to black for my John Marston. It's not a TTL or a True Type body, but I still think it'll work out okay. :)

Here's a link to a "damaged" one with a loose neck post at Toy Anxiety.

I didn't get that one. I got their last one with a neck post that is okay. I'll leave the head on this figure until I get the great John Marston head sculpt from Sunohc. :wave
