I'm gonna stop by the Buffy Throne thread if you don't QUIT IT!!!!!

Well, you guess it!!!

We decided to use the machine to change Casper BACK INTO A HUMAN!!!!! :horror But we weren't the only ones interested in the machine. The rich lady who owned the mansion learned about the machine and the special elixir required to revive the dead. She had this plan to become a ghost and use her new found powers to wreck havok on us all. Then, she was going to use the last of the elixir to change herself back. And if things weren't bad enough, my dad drank too much with "The Trio" one night and killed himself, BECOMING A GHOST!!! :horror

So instead of changing Casper back into a human, we had to use the elixir to change my dad back. Casper, out of the goodness of his heart, gave up his opportunity to become human again in order for my dad to get a "second chance."

This all happened on the night of a Halloween party that I was throwing at the mansion. As luck would have it, after turning my dad back, an angel (who was my mom) came down and granted Casper his wish to become human again. But there was a catch. He could only stay human until 10 PM. So Casper and I shared a dance. Before you know it, it was 10 PM and Casper became a ghost again. It scared EVERYONE!!! :lol They all ran out!!!

With everyone gone, "The Trio" began to plan rock and roll music, while my dad, Casper, and I partied the night away. Needless to say, that was one experience that I will never forget. The end.

Didn't know this version Jinxx, thanks! Awesome song

Fear not when, fear not why,
Fear not much while were alive,
Life is for living not living up tight,
See ya somewhere up in the sky,
Fear not die, I'll be alive for a million years, bye bye,
So not for legends, I'm forever young
My name shall survive

I had a good ghost story too...

I used to live in this mansion upstate, called Whipstaff Manor. My dad is a therapist to the dead and was hired by this rich lady to rid the mansion of these ghosts. There were four ghosts total, one named Casper who was my favorite. The other three I affectionly named "The Trio." They consisted of Stinkie, Stretch, and Fatso.

One day we stumbled upon this machine in a secret laboratory within the mansion that had been sealed for years. We called the machine, "Lazarus." As it turns out, the guy who created it claimed it could revive the dead!!!! So guess what we decided to do!?!?

I believe that there are a lot of things that cannot be explained and that's why I believe.

So because you have no conscious confirmation of it, i.e. because you are not aware of it, then it must be true?

Why not? If we come here in the first place who says we cannot come back in another body? Like a second, third chance?:)

Who says we came here? You mean from somewhere else, right? Why not the obvious: we started right here; we will end right here.

Have you ever seen anyone do it differently?

I just think one life is not enough to learn what we could/should...that's my point about reincarnation. And concerning the after life...I don't think we are human beings who eventually experience the "spiritual world"...but we are spiritual beings who ocasionally live human experiences...:duh

What is it that we're supposed to be learning, exactly? And how did you come by this information suggesting that there is something we are supposed to learn? Did you come by it the same way you did the notion that we are primarily spiritual? The same way that Ski did? By equating the absence of evidence with incontrovertible truth?

I'm with Cloud on this. In spades.

What I find funny is how many people I know don't believe in psychics but believe the Mayan Indians could predict the end of the world.
Don't put me in that category. I don't believe in psychics or Mayan/Aztec end of the world bull____. Yeah, the world will end, when the sun burns out in thousands of years. But we can expect another ice age in about 500 years or so that will wipe out a lot of people too. The great thing about science is that you can find solid evidence to support it. :) The Aztec calendar probably ended in 2012 because they got sick of writing it!

:lol

I'm still a suckup for all of these supernatural/psychic/spiritual/ghost stuff...and the shows they come up with. I can't really watch as often as I want because of my kids...so I have to do so on the sly...

We all have differing opinions and ways of expressing them, especially when it comes to these kinds of subjects. So can we just leave the confrontation and name calling out of it please.

Personally I havn't seen anything. I've always thought when you're gone you're gone kind of thing but my ex always said that she had seen the ghost of her Grandmother. She swore to it and I know others that have had similar experiences so who really knows :dunno.

It's always gonna be one of those 'can't be proven' things, imo anyway.
x :peace

I think these shows are cool when they're able to work that blindspot we all have (and who isn't blind when they're looking at nothing?) and actually manage to get a scare out of you. I assume that's how Paranormal Activity was able to make it's impression. But, based on reactions to that movie, I'd also assume that it doesn't work on everyone, like ghost stories, or tarot card readers, or haunted houses. I was really susceptible to it when I was younger. Not so much now.

So because you have no conscious confirmation of it, i.e. because you are not aware of it, then it must be true?

This is a serious question devil, but is there anything you don't have confirmation of, but still believe anyway? Or have some sort of odd feeling about? It's one thing to believe something that's been disproved, but another entirely to believe something that very well may be true. Or is it? I guess this sort of ties in within conspiracy theories, but that's not really what I mean.

For instance, I'm not really religious or spiritual, but I've encountered several odd things that would lead me to believe something like that exists. Similar experiences have happened to family members that I know and trust, so I take their word for truth.

Are they things that can be verified independently of your own, private experience? A person can have an experience as clear as day and it be 100% a product of their own minds. They don't have to be crazy to mistake a phenomenon of their internal experience for an phenomenon of their external experience, and just because they experience something does not make it a phenomenon of the world beyond their imagination.

One of the most significant characteristics of things in the real world is that they tend to be observable by anyone who is conscious. If it's exists, then it can be observed. When someone claims that a thing exists which cannot be observed, as a rule I'd say they either dont know what they are talking about, or they are lying.
