The crotch is liveable, really authenticates that it's female haha. Sideshow even says in their web video that the final materials still haven't been decided upon, so we may see a cloth costume before all is said and done.

Every once in awhile I reflect on how cool looking Medicom and Hot Toys look, yet how outrageously expensive they are. I also think about the quality of the Hasbro figures and how long I lamented them. I think about the complaints about Sideshow and how they have systematically corrected them from server crashes, to reward points, to improving packaging, and now finally the long sought after body improvement. They set the SW collecting world in shock last year with the Jabba set up. They have packed loads of accessories into their figures and have continually had the best customer service of not only the 1:6 world but pretty much any retailer I have ever seen.
They aren't perfect but they certainly seem to be making a real effort (I would love to see them revive the Angel line for a few more figures and I'm not thrilled with creeping prices). But I have noticed the things to complain about.
So thank God for the Star Wars forum where this never a shortage of dissatisfaction. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not in love with the Padme figure, I think the vinyl costume looks silly, and the pupils need repositioning, but like most cases the amount of venom spewed is far more than is deserved, in my opinion.

Oh yeah, and Dave is thoroughly evil. I heard he laughed about the Mike Vick predicament.

Sideshow is definitely the best from customer service to product availability. I like the way they handle exclusives and they dont try to screw the average collector.

The way they handle conventions is truly top notch. We pretty much know everything that went on this week at their booth but GG has posted nothing on their site about this week. It seems Sideshow is in this business not only to make money but to make fans happy so yeah their may be some duds every now and then but really I mean look at some of the other licenses they screw up and want try and fix it. Sideshow has fixed a lot of things with these figures after fan suggestions.


All I can say is keep up the good work Sideshow and I will definitely support your company more than I will any other.

You know, between the order page and comic con, she's only been shown in standing pose, I imagine the vinyl might be rather limiting for poses. I hope the final material allows for poses like this

Perhaps the figure can benefit from some padding in certain areas of the outfit to give her a more rounded "figure"? I believe it was JustinLuck that did an amazing job padding up the Jedi Luke figure (particularly in the same troublesome crotch area) and make it look a lot better.

Would it be possible for Sideshow to design the padding onto the outfit, particularly on those areas? That would definitely help make the figures, particularly female figures, to look even better.

The Ilum Padme is a nice start (and remember guys and gals it IS still in the prototype stage) but let's hope that we see a 1/6 of AOTC Padme in ripped white outfit and maybe a PF of this version

That's the Padme I want in 1/6 form as well...
And I think we'll see it along with a mullet sporting Obi and the teenacious teenage angst-filled Anie--- just not in the next year. Maybe 2009.

I recolored the eyes/eyebrows, gave her some eyelashes, and made the top lip a tad smaller. What do you guys think? It's quick and not really detailed but gives us a better idea of what she'd look like darker. Someone could (and needs to) do it a little better for us, I just don't have the time right this second.

Master Kolar, I think you've got it! I think the problem was that the colors weren't distince enough--there should be fairer skin and darker hair and eyes. That makes quite a difference my friend! Now that we know what part of the problem is, let's hope they amend it.

My feelings are if they were going to convert the costume design into a realistic look, they should have included rooted hair.
