Wow, even people who went to see "Squeakel" could tell this film was a steaming pile.

And again, I think the backlash/anger is not the fact that it's being remade; but that its being done in a very non-interesting and "cash grab" sort of way. I mean, something like the "Crane Kick" is just too perfect and can only work once. When I was a kid (around 1st or 2nd grade) this movie was a defining film; I wanted to be Danilesan

I don't know if this will make anyone feel better (or worse), but Sony is claiming the Karate Kid received the second highest test audience rating ... ever.

Apparently the screening was held at Will Smith's house.

There's only one Karate kid movie. Looks like Willie's kid will start an acting career in mediocrity, just like his daddy's movies.

The only reasons I'm gonna check this out are Jackie Chan and the karate looks like it's gonna be really good. Not in the theaters though, I'll wait for it to come out on Blu-Ray.

Even so, the originals are still the only Karate Kid movies in my mind.

Personally, I think that looks pretty good, for what it is.

The original was good for it's time, but all this whining... give me a break. The sequels were progressively worse (and cheesy), and even the first was hardly a classic. Nostalgia... pttf
