Endor troops = YAWN!

I totally agree; while I cancelled the one I ordered originally (nick), if I can score him on Ebay cheap, I may get one down the road.

I am blown away by that Leia Boushh. I sure hope that is what the production face looks like. If so, that is one of the nicest pieces I have ever seen. It is fantastic.

The Endor Troopers look better in these shots IMO. Asajj looks just as good, but I wish Sideshow had corrected the clothing and given her a cloak like Luke has. Leia Boushh just looks incredible, and I'd be re-ordering her if I wasn't holding out for a Bespin version.

The Dejarik table looks spectacular. I would like to see the figures cast in a translucent plastic to reflect their holographic nature though, and SSC really should've placed it closer to another 12 incher to give it some scale.

The diorama looks better here as well (as opposed to the teaser shot on SSC's site). While I still have a feeling it'll be close to the $200 mark, I'll order it if it won't be coming out until at least summertime (give me enough time to get the finances in place).

Still...I'd like to know if anything new is going to be presented (such as Snowbunny Padme).

Sorry to say but these are some of the worst RS Gallery photos I've ever seen, some are really good, Leia, but so many are out of focus, very annoying... if any of you guys at RS are watching please retake some of these shots so we can see the detail in these pieces...

Sorry to be such a nitpicker... :D

I agree. The quality of these pictures are terrible in comparison to the usual standard of quality that Rebelscum has at conventions.

Well, I don't know what it's like at these shows in terms of time your allowed to look at things, but sometimes a shot looks focused on that lil LCD window most digitals have and you don't know it's blurry until you drop it onto your computer.

Secondly, if I were at the show, I'd be on clowd nine and I'd have a very unsteady hand, so the minor blurring that's there isn't so big a deal, you see it well enough, my pictures would look like all the toys had goes trailing them lol.

Finally, RS is kind enough to share news and images with is, they could just as easily do a write up with no images and rub it in our faces. I for one think the effort deserves appreciation, this isn't supposed to be pro shots for a catalog, they're quick snaps so we can get glimpses we won't have for months, and I'm glad they do that for us.

C'mon man, they're convention pros and do the best gallery shots year after year. I don't really know what happened but I doubt they were so rushed they couldn't take focused shots. I think this is just an anomaly and they'll retake and repost some of these, I hope so anyway.

Well, they are doing us a favor by posting something, but with a digital camera, it takes just a second to realize when a picture is no good. Surely there's time to do that and snap another quick shot.

We're just noticing and pointing out that the quality is lackluster compared to all of their previous convention shots. Many of the photographers are pros with pro equipment as well, so these aren't pics taken by Joe Schmo with a point-and-click camera.

Consider it brutal honesty in terms of constructive criticism.

Yep, and some pieces were shot from many different angles so it's not like they were rushed or anything... like S-P says, they're pros and have floor access.

When it comes to pieces shown for the first time with floor pics, like Trev's first Diorama, I was kind of disappointed. I mean, if the shot is out of focus don't post it or replace it at a later time so his work can be appreciated properly, that's all I'm asking. :D

It's surprising to see how many people dislike the Endor team. I'm actually looking forward to them and I'm not a hardcore fan either, ardent, but not hardcore. Judging by the general dislike on these peices, I think these will be had for Han-like prices on ebay down the road and I will pick them up then.

I remember last year some of the pictures were really good and some others not so much. But initially they cranked out a lot of shots, just to get them to the fans... but later went back and got better and more detailed ones.

I'm guessing over the next few days we'll be getting better updates from them.

Dave was prolly still shaking from lack of sleep when he took those. :p

I think the only 12" they will announce will be Snow Bunny Padme... Aloth' deep down I am still hoping for a character from ANH.

Endor troops do look weird. The ones head (not Nick or Brant) looks askew somehow. I really am digging Leia tho and I am getting more and more anxious to see her ship.

Asajj looks great, tho' it looks like they are sticking with the robe instead of the red-lined cloak they should've gone for.

All things told, TF is proving to be pretty exciting.

I wouldn't give up on Asajj's robe until the production images show up because if they're putting work into it and don't have it quite ready for display, they may have just thrown on this robe for TF to have something, time will tell, but the overall figure looks fantastic.

The problem with mass-cancellations of the crummy Endor Troops is that it may very likely affect the possibilities of other (BETTER) Rebel troop figures in the future (or at least how dedicated SSC is to them). Yet another of the myriad of reasons why these were quite possibly the worst choice to start the Military line. :(

Well, while it's great to see some shots of "finished" figures coming our way soon, I'd say the results are a little mixed to say the least (I'll sidebar that by stating the oft-heard "...but it's different when you actually see it"....as is often the case)...

However...

The Endor Troopers are looking a little "off" based on those shots....I don't remember the camo being so "neon" in the film...I'll have to pop it on again and check it out....I'm almost ready to cancel the bundle and just get on the WL for Nik....

Leia looks good....nice weathering on the outfit. Wish we'd seen the "helmet head" option...

Plo Koon....where to begin....well, here's what Sideshow is presenting (picture from Rebelscum TF coverage):

I'm very curious where Sideshow is getting the image ideas to create their version of Plo. I can find no reference material or film footage that shows him in jedi garb that looks basically like everyone else's....Plo's is totally unique. They've done a good job on the outer robe, but the jedi tunic (with the exception of the turtleneck undershirt) looks to be a simple rehash.
Was this his (unseen) appearance in ROTS that they are using for reference for his look for this figure?

I know it'll probably be sacrilege to say it...but the Hasbro version is actually closer to the mark for Plo's outfit and appearance...

Hasbro seems to have hit the mark with the basic outfit's look...I just watched the last part of AOTC on HD-HBO tonight, and the Hasbro look is definitely closer to the Plo we know....

As for Assaj....well, at least Sideshow has the advantage of creating a figure that does not have a film counterpart to allow for such close scrutiny for "accuracy". She look good....especially the twin-bladed saber...
