Also, Iminime has more control over their delays than is being recognized right now. It's awesome that Denny is so open to feedback and I we all know that his company has took leaps and bounds in quality in a year’s time; feedback has improved just about every figure thus far but they really shouldn't rely on us for all
They've come so far, I'm sure that Denny understands the mind of the collector better now. This is 1/6 collecting and everyone (or most) is a detail and accuracy nut. As much as we want a sculpt with great likeness, there's more to it than just that. We want accurate hair and eye color, accurate color/design/details of clothing and accessories... accurate, accurate, accurate :lol

I was shocked to see a pic of the Sheriff's pistol yesterday with a very dark handle as opposed to the accurate lighter colored one. Also the rifle was a completely different paint up than what was first showed. The proto was perfect; I'm not sure why it was changed but it is extremely inaccurate. When you consider how far Iminime has come and how much they improved, it's hard to believe that stuff like that is still happening.

We're all looking at the same reference material. As much as I appreciate the willingness to take on feedback; these inaccuracies can be discovered and corrected in house without our help. As soon as Iminime can get to that point, their delays will be minimized.

Please no one, especially Denny take offense to what I'm saying; it's not my intention. I'm just plainly speaking about the very evident facts of this situation.

I will post some photos for pistol color.
That is not wrong. maybe not 100%
but you will see very similiar
And our pistol is Full metal. not resin
The prototype was something else.
shoes were not accuracy at all
there are many things wete done for accuracy

I am not sure why you are doing it here

Denny

google colt python. there are few colors for handle grib

ours is one of them
and for rick, I could see the color very similar

it may can be different based in lightening
maybe he might have used few same models
with different colored handle.
but you cant say our color is simply opposite

the rifle : we also found few colors that used with
same reason.
google it with gun name. and you will find
what I mean

so I say. it's not completely wrong.
I am afraid people who are not really sure can
misunderstand what you said

you also need to be more take care of what you
are saying for sure.
you could be wrong sometimes.

denny

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the gun. I have a reproduction of the movie gun and it would be cool to compare the two :)

I will not be responding for a while

From now on, questions please email me.

And I will seriously think about not to open
interest thread at all here at ssf

I thought I was doing my best. but
some people really make me feel hard
and I might change all custom with new project

if i set up very low quantity. i get blamed.
if i increase size. i get blamed.
there are many opinions. I cant satisfy all of you

that is because of my ability is not big

We are still a small team with many artists

and as i said. i have no plan for layaway as i cant afford
it now.
and if you feel like the result of you pre ordered
one is horrible and not acceptible from what you saw from the
prototype ask me
I will fully refund you for sure.

I felt there was overwhelming support for you and your company with only a few people that were unsupportive of your business plan.

Sorry if you feel that way Denny. I think most of us are big fans (and past and future supporters) of your product, but members will have various opinions that are fair game for discussion on a public forum. I'm sure any business has to deal with similar kinds of things. But I don't think it would be good for business to cut back on the interest threads, which are essentially the means of building and maintaining hype for your company.

:lol:lol Omar, if you became a spokesperson at some capacity you should take a more neutral, PC approach. You won't get a good response if you mix personal opinions and collectors' passion with the spokesperson role; that's where Axe went wrong. It's even more important for you since you seem to be financially involved and he wasn't (although I didn't catch up on the whole Cinemascale thing yet so I'm a bit in the dark with the details). Just some friendly advice :peace :1-1:
This is good advice. Personally I don't feel you've posted anything wrong, Wake, but I hope you're very aware of the fanboy/spokesperson pitfalls. I thought Axe was great, for the most part, but some of his posts could be read as very patronizing and alienating to potential new customers, so I was happy when Denny announced that from that point on, he'd be opening his own threads and handling communications himself. I was a bit disappointed when that turned out not to be the case, but I can see the guy is extraordinarily busy, so makes sense.

I can understand why you'd feel that way, Denny, but most of the posts here have had nothing but good things to say about you and the way you run your business. I hope you'll reconsider and still participate from time-to-time. I (and I'm sure many others) really enjoy your posts and the insight you bring into producing 1:6 figures. I do understand why you'd just want to stay away from the board but hope you continue to contribute.

Keep doing what you're doing, Denny. I'm new to both the customs game and IMINIME, but, after this project "initiated me," I've since followed a lot of your work, including some things that aren't really on my radar, and, in doing so, I've been incredibly impressed with how committed to each project, and making each one the best it can possibly be, you are. From a few tweaks to Angel Eyes (which looks phenomenal, by the way) to the numerous revisions to the Durden head, it's not often that you see that, and I respect it.

Perhaps I'm not as qualified as some others here to discuss it as others here are, as I simply don't have as much on the line, but, in my opinion, you're doing just fine. So long as you keep hitting us on all ends with these amazing figures, you keep doing what you're doing. :) :hi5:

Wow missed alot today haha,

Denny the amount of supporters you have on this forum greatly outweighs the non supporters and the negative people.

One of the best things you do is listen to our feedback but some people take that kindness as an invitation to demand the way things should look and how your company should run without knowing any of the production costs and restraints,

Keep doing what you are doing man, its your business and you run it how you know best, if they are unhappy with it so be it, can't please everyone and I am sure more likely then not those people will still pre order your figures and pay in full.

Looking forward to more of your work!

Denny - I think almost all of the people posting here have a great interest in what you do and are customers of yours. Not everything is going to be roses and rainbows when some post, nor should it be, right? To not do interest threads would hurt all involved (Iminime and us collectors). Please reconsider this and know that we all share the same passion and things can be read much different than the spoken word. You taking this so hard only shows how much passion you have and put into what you do - and that is what makes you great at what you do.

I for one am very excited for this figure and the bride you have coming. I know many more are to come and I greatly look forward to what you announce next. Please know that we do appreciate you!

Whoa brother, what happened?!?!? Denny I think you are misunderstanding me big-time!!! There's no reason to get this upset! Anything that I said wasn't meant to be offensive as I mentioned so please don't take it that way :1-1:

I'm sure that you've read all my recent post in different Iminime threads commending and complimenting your growth, both in quality and as a company, right??? I've been saying in several threads that I feel you guys have improved so much in the last year and I keep singing you praises about that and the bright future that I feel you have, right? So why do you think I'm saying something to hurt you now? If you haven't seen my other posts, please check them out. I only have good things to say about you buddy :)

Denny, you know I'm a serious collector and I'm a big supporter and fan of Iminime and more than anything I hope you consider me a friend. I want to explain something to you, and I had a similar conversation with Rainman a couple of weeks ago. I know that both you and Rainman get very annoyed when people argue or discuss certain things but you have to understand that this is an online collectors forum. This is what happens on forums!

Many times when people argue it has nothing to do with you, Rainman, Iminime or any other customizer personally. This is an internet forum and this particular hobby generally attracts a nitpicky crowd. I know that you think the hobby should be all fun and no stress but people do get into debates. People here will sometimes debate and argue over things much like they do over politics or religion. THIS USUALLY IS NOTHING PERSONAL AGAINST THE ARTIST/COMPANY! You really have to let a lot of that roll off of your shoulders because people are going to speak their opinions on an open forum.

Everyone here respects you and appreciates you, and most of us understand how hard your job is. No one here questions your integrity or commitment to this craft. It's been great that you have been more vocal on the board because those who didn't know you too well now see what kind of guy you are.

I truly apologize if I struck a nerve or rubbed you the wrong way in what I said. The last thing I was looking to do was to get you mad :1-1:. But please understand that the payment concern is a very valid concern for you customers. It has nothing to do with how much I like you or how great of a guy you are or how honest and good willed you are. It comes down to money, business, the amount of protection were getting and the level of risk we're taking.

People here could tell you, when this issue has come up in the past, I was the first to recognize and agree with their concerns but I defended the way that you conduct business. I completely understand why you have to do business with full payments up front, and personally I honestly don't have a huge problem with it; but you have to understand why some of your customers have concerns. Their concerns are valid so you can't really hold this against them. And as much as we know that you are reliable and we trust you, don't think that this subject will never be talked about on an open forum!!! :lol You've explained the situation now and stated that a different payment structure is something that you want to do in the future but can't right now. I understand that and I'm sure others do too. It's good that you chimed in and addressed the matter to help put people's mind at ease a bit :duff

As far as things like the Colt and the rifle go, that's another story. I'm not always right and I'm not a perfect person but I do fell I have a pretty good eye for detail and I know how to research the proper avenues.

You are correct. If you Google Colt Python you will get a ton of information and pics. But that's the problem, you’re not just researching a Colt Python, you're researching RICK's Colt Python. The best way to get info on a screen used prop is to only research screen shots of the movie or show. Colt made many different metal finishes and different color wood handles for the Python. If you simply go off of Google images, you're likely to get wrong info. Shadows Of Reflection is one of the best screencap sites I know of. This is a great reference tool:

https://ladymanson.com/ShadowofReflection/caps.php

Same goes for the rifle. You guys had the color perfectly (maybe slightly dark) the first time but honestly the color and grain that you currently have isn't what we see on screen. I'm not perfect but I have to respectfully disagree with you and say that I'm correct about the rifle and Colt handle color

Please remember that I constantly sing you and your company praises. I've been supporting you guys from basically the beginning and you know I love what you do. If I think something is off or inaccurate, I share my opinion like many others do, but I always do my best to do so respectively and constructively.

Anyway, I think that this is a big misunderstanding and I never wanted to offend you. I'm sorry brother and I hope you accept my apology :(

Thanks to you and every other supporter!! I became involved in this as a purely a fan. But almost immediately I could tell that Denny was not only serious about his work, but passionate. It wasn't hard for me to throw my full support into helping him, even then. My first Iminime figures were the se7en duo, and its been a looong year since then. With a ton of improvement! BUT Denny, His team and I all realize the wealth of improvement yet to be realized. Iminime will get there!

Im not only speaking for Denny, because I too have run businesses, but keeping a payroll going is not the easiest thing in the world. Those people who rely on you for work and their income are important to you as a leader. You worry about them.

I don't want to get in the middle of this and I know Wake faced some criticsm for not being biased but I don't see anything other than honest enthusiasm here. There's nothing wrong with expressing that.

Someone else pointed out that Howard Chan would never listen to the customers like iminime does.

The only thing I've ever asked of iminime was for improvements, not price, not faster turnaround times, they ALWAyS listen and do the best they can.

Other artists, many i respect half assed listen to feedback and offer revisions of the most minimal capacity. Denny and co are re sculpting entire heads!

Are they perfect? No, not at all. But a figure like Bateman? It's hard to argue its not better than 75% of much higher priced customs. But honestly for the cost of the items, dollars to dimes they listen to the fans the most and put the most effort into revisions. I crtitisize hard but this really stands for something in my book.

Also for the record I never once saw any of Pop's post as disrespectful, don't worry man I don't think the animosity was aimed at you!

I just think it was a result of stress, and again no one meant any harm but I think the comments about not taking money until after prodiction runs started hit a nerve.

Personally I know all too well what it's like to work harder than anyone realizes and not have that credited or have them not have any idea what goes into it. Even ill admit I didn't know Denny and co did so much until he shared all that.

The peanut gallery can be *****es, I've had my best work torn to shreds too, it's part of the commercial art industry. No ones happy. It can wear you down sometimes. But sometimes it can also make you better.

with this reply, I will not be logging in, I know words choice can hurt people.

For payment plan, I aleady expressed, and about perfection, I always agreed that we are not there, no other artist can just duplicate of the scene of full figure with this price.

I was upset to read "shocked" : in Korea, shocked word means...something very very disrespect to artist and people.
or if you see something terrible...we say shocked..
I admit that this can be misunderstanding.

And the color of rifle, I was aware of it, but we counld not do exactly to the prototyped color, we realized that maybe very limited works could be done in that way....my painters felt too hard to do that painting for multiply, and I had to accept the team's opinion, our staff know, we spent more than we got total for this WTD projects. because I Love this TV series!! although we lost some, we tried to upgrade it with many parts.

But seems...like...even I met you and know each other....and I didn't know that you expressed that way..was hurting me.
I always say...free to speak...and I am fine for that.

Picking up only few things that you hate....compared to prototype...is hurting.

See what things has been improved from prototype?
Many Materials have been changed.
Shirt was remade with suggestions, weathering add with suggestions..etc on....

all these changes, delays production for sure.

First....few people started saying about Pay plan...and..start delaying....and...picking up unsatisfactory items.....

That's why...I would feel that I will not make any more interest thread.
and..perhaps, we make custom figures in our artistic way....and offer people who can accept our work.

Thank you very much and because I had a really great time with some of people here when I was in Famcon, I felt more responsible and tried my best to take as much as possible.

but this time, I might be silent.....regardless of sales or anything.

I apologize for dealy and the full payment. also not perfection.
This is our limit at this moment, if you want more....maybe there are some other artists can do better than my team for sure.
And all the overaction from me, sorry for that. that's all.

I will not be showing here for a while now.

Denny
