I HATE anybody who feeds and thrives off of negativity
they can f'n burn :devil

yup, i went to high school w/ one of those kids, he lives near me. rev. al was real quick to condemn the actions of white kids and side with a stripper??im not saying the stripper couldnt have really been innocent, but al just jumps right in once he sees a black person and a newscamera.he doesntt even wait for facts. hes a bigot in his own right...

His comments were dumb, but not racist. But I have heard that he has said things like this (and worse) in the past so obviously he isn't learning from them.

there is one thing i think we all can agree on....imus is a bag of donkey nuts. im just annoyed that this has taken over the media. all i heard on espn radio these few days has been about this.
once the advertisers left imus' station it was curtains for him ...especially proctor and gamble..they own everything

if no-one here can understand the offense the term Nappy Headed Ho can be to a black person then you are either playing Devils Advocate or you are just plain Dumb.

I've never heard the term Nappy Headed before. Please address the quote below because I'm pretty sure I'm not dumb and I know I'm not playing Devil's Advocate.

...BTW, I'm from New York and nappy headed to me means unclean and unkept hair. How is that racist? Unless they are talking about the ho part which insults all the women on the team, not just the black ones...

most people near me, im in ny too, do use it when talking about a black person.but it can go for any race , color, or whatever. its not racist imo. we just say it when youur hair is all messed up ,or straggly or dirty..its no big deal. i get puffy hair when it grows out and ive been called nappy headed. its all good. imus is just a *******

Exactly. I am so pissed off at this Imus bastard right now. We should be talking about Anna Nicole's baby and her new daddy, not this bs.

Well I've never heard this Imus character anyway and the only reason I know who he is is because I listen to 790 the Ticket out of Miami and Sid Rosenberg talks about being on his show. Unfortunately I haven't listened since this all went down. :monkey1

Yet CBS and its contemporary media giants will go on raking in the dough from rappers. What rank hypocrisy.
Sharpton is the last person that should have his ring kissed after his involvment in the Tawana Brawley case.
He and Jackson are racial ambulance chasers and corporate shakedown artists.

It depends on who you are whether you have freedom of speach or not in this country.

I would say your free to say whatever you want...but you are also free to get fired from your national radio show for saying things that are ignorant and racist. He had it coming. Keep in mind that these were college kids who did nothing but play for a national championship. Though alot of readers here may not listen to him he does have a large audience. Here are a few other gems from Mr. Imus who has said sexist and racist things for years now.

When The New York Times hired black journalist Gwen Ifill in the 1990s, Imus said it was nice of the paper to "let the cleaning lady cover the White House." He also called Times sports columnist William C. Rhoden a "quota hire."

Imus called Washington Post media reporter Howard Kurtz a "boner-nosed, beanie-wearing Jew boy" on the program in 1998. Kurtz, who also hosts CNN's "Reliable Source," has been a guest on Imus' show.

In 2001, sports announcer Sid Rosenberg said he can't watch tennis players Venus and Serena Williams because they are too masculine. He called Venus Williams an "animal" and said the sisters are more likely to be featured in National Geographic than Playboy. Rosenberg also has called the U.S. women's soccer team "juiced-up dykes."

Now back to the toys! :D

That fat headed muff muncher Rosie Odonell (Sp?) can blab on daytime tv of how the government was involved in bringing down the trade towers, but someone calls a woman a ho, is fired?

Please.

Part of a certain race of people are too high strung. Ho is not racist to any ethnic group.

It's just name calling. Sticks and stones crap.

And Al Sharpton is going to burn in hell for taking stuff way to far.

Kinda on the same subject, you are supposed call a black person African American. What if the black person was from Australia? My great great great great great grandfather was from Switzerland, but I don't go by Switz-American.
