But Paul is defined by his adversaries as much as by how he responds to adversity.

The Lord of Darkness put it best: without darkness there can be no light.

This figure needs a villain to face off against.

I’d much prefer a Feyd or Baron Harkonnen to a Chani or Jessica figure.

Eh. I'm of the mind that there ought to be some Fremen representation. The blue eyes are iconic imagery.
Problem (partly) solved if Paul had been given spice eyes.

No interest in Chani whatsoever. Would love Lady Jessica with the face tattoos and blue eyes. I think that would pop in a display
Definitely; thought it's the paired stillsuits that would be really cool. Can't recall if she was ever seen outside the sietch again after becoming Reverend Mother.

HT and even JND can't come any close to this masterpiece. Inart is taking it to the next level already.
Shhhh… now you’ll be labeled as a “shill”..
simply cause you’re excited for this company lol.

Jokes aside, INART catches a lot of flak, but imho, they really are the best at figure-making. The realism, the presence, the attention to detail (inaccuracies aside), etc. They have a passion projects feel. And they’re not that much more expensive than the industry standard (Hot Toys) and yet you get a mass produced product that has pretty good value and artistic quality and presence.

I'm praying that they make a Part 2 Chani with the blue around her arm. Think that would go great with this when it arrives.
But why would Part 2 Fremen battle armor Chani pair well with Part 1 basic stillsuit Paul? It’s like they’re from different times lol..

Man, I don’t even think I’m being a stickler, but that just doesn’t make sense to me. I guess we’ll see what ends up happening, but imo, they ought to make P1 Chani.

Unfortunately it was poor timing cause they should’ve done P2 Paul instead. It would’ve avoided these mismatching requests for Feyd or Reverend Mother Jessica.

More visual variance than just two near identical stillsuits on display and because they both simply represent ‘characters in Dune.’

Two characters don’t need to have shared a scene or have their clothing matched to stand near each other on a shelf as representatives of a movie franchise.
It’s not the most common approach but it’s not absurd either.

People will pick their favourite iteration of an MCU hero when compiling a group display even if they’re from all sorts of random points in time.

If InArt make Sirius Black next, people are likely to display him in the vicinity of the philosopher’s stone trio.
They don’t encounter him till book/film three- but he’s part of the Harry Potter universe- so it’s fine.

Also, doesn’t the Fremen armour just go directly over the Stillsuit? Therefore, a part 2 Chani with removable armour would make everyone happy.

We’ll see what happens. It really ought to be Part 1 version of her.

I think mismatching is okay once the line becomes expansive, but we’re literally only 1 figure in so far and it doesn’t remotely make sense if they make Chani from the sequel film to pair with current Part 1 Paul. Not only that, but we know INART isn’t even in the business of delving deep into a “line”. Seriously, what’s the point of doing P2 Chani? That’d only make sense if they have plans for P2 Paul.

I also hear you when collectors mismatch. But for companies to come out with the second figure in the IP, and it’s already a mismatched look?

I mean, if I had my druthers, it'd be Reverend Mother Jessica or Feyd-Rautha -- because I'm of the "they're two halves of the same story, who cares about mismatching" camp -- but if licensing restricts them to Part One, then it should be Jessica, Chani, or Stilgar in their Stillsuit.

I’m of the mindset that INART cares about accuracy and aesthetics and more importantly, are also bound by specific licenses. They’ve shown that they’re intentional with what they do, and don’t just willy nilly pump out characters that don’t even go with each other… so I’ve got no reason to think they’d do that. So far, this is what they’ve done:

• TDK Trilogy***
• FOTR
• It Part 1
• The Batman (2022)
• Harry Potter (Movie 1)
• BvS
• Joker (2019)
• Dune Part 1

*** ‘TDK Trilogy’ is an actual branding term. So if they end up announcing TDKR Catwoman, it would be under the ‘TDK Trilogy’ banner. It makes sense that the licensor has decided to market it as such (most recently, McFarlane Toys). I personally plan to “mismatch” and have TDK Batman displayed with the 4 “rogues” or villains of the last 2 entries.

But imho, fact of the matter is that this doesn’t compare at all to having a Part 1 Paul + Part 2 Chani, cause first of all, they belong to different individual movie licenses and above all, IMO, it just looks like they didn’t know what to decide on and proceed with. It’d be like if they make JL Batman as the next companion piece to BvS Superman.. it’d look off….
