It really seems to depend on the lighting in the pictures. Some of these I can see the freckles and details on the sculpt. Others, the lighting seems to be completely washing everything out.

I should have mine delivered early next week, so I will be able to admire in person. I can't wait to have the trio, with hopefully Hermione releasing in the next six months. I'm really hoping InArt puts up another preorder from this line soon.

I also ended up ordering the JND Kojun Lite trio. With this being my favorite IP, I felt the need to have both representations. I debated getting the silicone versions for a bit, but ultimately decided on the sculpted versions. I also have the Quidditch version ordered, so I will be able to compare InArt, sculpted Kojun, and silicone Kojun.

I honestly think the likeness looks as good or even better than on the promo, I think this figure has come out great.
But maybe thats just me.

Some of you are so dramatic lol.

It seems a little light on freckles, though it could be lighting - but overall this figure has turned out really nicely.
No one is saying that the figure overall is bad. Quite the contrary. Being disappointed with the what appears to be lacking production paint apps isn’t the same as saying it’s a bad set. It’s still a really nice product overall.

Myself, I’m not even talking about the freckles. I’m talking about what appears to be lack of eyebrows, dark circles around the eyes and something off with the lips.

Some of y’all are oddly ok with dropping these large amounts saying things like “it’s good for mass production.” Will you be saying the same thing when InArt figures start costing the same as JND’s silicone figures? The way InArt is going with their quickly raising prices on standard figures, it won’t be long. Standard sculpted hair Ron was about $420 at most places which is more expensive than any regular HT figure, more expensive than the sculpted JND/Kojun Lite HP figures and the most expensive standard/sculpted hair InArt figure to date. With that, it should be the best InArt figure to date, but that seems to be going to InArt’s Dune Paul. That figure appears to be just as good if not better than the proto and cost less if I’m remembering correctly (happy to be corrected)

Happy to see what it looks like in hand when I pay mine off. Again, it’s a pretty nice set overall. But, I’m prepared to have to do some work on it the same way I’ve had to do with every InArt figure I’ve owned. I just don’t think it’s wrong to expect more when you’re spending more

If you're not happy with something you should always be able to say so, its your money after all.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, and likeness [and all the things that contribute to it like paint, sculpt, expression etc] is so subjective that its often an entirely personal decision whether something works for you or not [I only say often because every now and then you get people who have the wildest takes :ROFLMAO:] .

IMO I like what I am seeing in the production better than the [already great] promo pics, for me the promo version looks a little too old [as in elderly] with the hyper-texture paint and the almost grey touch to the skin tone in some pics.
This final sculpt looks to my eyes more like what Grint was in this movie, a child - but as always the sweet spot is somewhere in the middle, as I too would prefer he have his freckles while keeping the more youthful skin tones of the production piece.

I cant believe I only just noticed all the chocolate frog cards are unique and match the "real" official cards being sold with the chocolate frogs by Universal
What an awesome and fun detail to add, love this!
It cant top the chess board as the most fun accessory but this is exactly the type of accessory idea and detail I love.

Still holding out on Kit getting more of the premium. There are standard versions in stock so I might break down just to make sure I get a Ron in general.

This post is from two pages back. Like I said, maybe it's the lightning, maybe it's not. But if this is how mine comes, I would consider the paint to be a huge downgrade.
Thats not a picture thats a screen grab from a low res video that has completely removed all detail, you can see how soft it is by looking at his fingers

Only downgrade in paint I'm really seeing is the lack of freckles. Seems to have gotten lost in the switch to being factory painted with how subtle they looked to be on the prototype. Outside of that, the paint seems the same. Rest of the figure is looking great as well. Really digging the binocular look whenever I see it.

I'm more worried about Hermione and how she turns out. Would be their first female figure release.

I have just looked at loads of pictures of a young Rupert Grint and I can find none where he has those freckles in your first image?
a couple of moles yes but no large freckles, check this high res image, there are none like in your first image.

The body and joints feel better quality than the Harry Potter. The wrist and elbow joints are worlds better. The wrist pegs slide in and out easily while holding a steady grip.

The head sculpt looks amazing to me in person, but it's so hard to capture on camera. The freckling isn't as pronounced as the proto, but the details in general are there. I was pleasantly surprised by it.
