Not really. I can order the HT Deluxe + Bat Signal right now (not from Sideshow) for $488 shipped without using any rewards, so it comes down to how much one wants to lie to one's self in order to justify spending almost $1K.

And seriously, who in their right mind would buy a $500+ item from Sideshow without using a **** ton of rewards???

I remember buying a Sideshow 1/6 scale BTVS figure for my daughter for $49 at my LCS and when the shopkeeper showed me the DC Direct Batman & Joker figures for $99 I was like "too rich for my blood".

Doubt they are going to use cheap material for a $500 figure, again high quality materials in the specs so I assume it's leather. Lol

It's funny, I'm super cheap and picky about everything else I buy, from groceries to clothes, but when it comes to collectibles I can find a way to justify spending almost any amount. Lol

I do wonder what my personal limit would be. What is the wall I would hit that would make me pass?

Clearly, its relative, as I wouldn't spend the same amount on say Greedo as I would Darth Vader... so I suppose I'd have to consider a grail piece as the wallbuster. I'm not sure what price would stop me. I would never have believed I would spend $1K on TDK Joker.

Would I spend $1,999.99 on the perfect (as I perceive it) Vader...? I'd say no now, but my history would betray me.

What we call "movie accurate" now may not be what we see in 10 years. Look back 10 years. Look back 20, to Sideshow 1/6th figures. State of the Art at one time. But now, I'd say they are dolls... at best, "action figures".

Either way, most family and friends would look at your collection and say: "You have a lot of dolls."

Yeah thankfully I can't think of any other character that would really be worth paying 1K for, or that I care that much about.
