I think if some of you weren’t addicted to buying figurines you’d end up as gamblers or alcoholics lol.
Working out was my addiction for 20 years, then I moved on to figures in 2020 due to quarantine and just overall wear and tear. I need that endorphin high dammit!

What's funny is most custom figures that are high end like what we see InArt trying to achieve is almost or is 3k. I asked Shumi Arts about their Zatoichi figure they are going to sell as their first mass produced figure and it's $1500 and with this set your literally getting two figures both with rooted hair and a light up dio piece (bat signal) for $990!!! That is a steal if I ever saw one. Lol

Sadly the majority of Hot Toys "casual" collectors are not very familiar with the custom scene. Like you mentioned a full figure run could cost you around 3k minimum depending on the artists and how many people are involved. It's clear that InArt target audience is these high-end custom collectors in China, who does not mind spending loads of money to elevate their display/figures by any means possible, their lead artist (Viper) is someone who came from the custom game after all. And again like you mentioned compared to the usual prices that it would take to organize a run for a full figure. This is 1000% a steal ($990 is basically the price of a painted head sculpt from Yelim) and why I didn't even hesitate pulling the trigger on it.

I think many collectors, like me, regularly play with and re-pose figures

How about that Hot Toys Vulture? Nice right? :lol

Any company that does that kind of trash, I'm happy to step away from.
It's amazing - the only one with a cloaking device! I'm going to display it alongside Wonder Woman's plane. :wink1:

I'm surprised you didn't mention HT's The Batman Batmobile as well. It takes up much less space than the Jazzinc version.

Hey Buffinator, how do you know what size hot toy's The Batman Batmobile is, and do you know if/when they'll put it up for pre order?

I am not sure I agree with this, and it is impossible to prove. I think many collectors, like me, regularly play with and re-pose figures, but maybe that is just because I do it. Ironically, I was considering posing this set with Bruce behind batman and both surrounded by a rich industrial decay. Eventually the display will devolve into accommodating other figures, but probably more dystopian characters like Fury Road
I haven’t laid hands on a HT figure in about 2 months despite having dozens of them. They usually get posed and left in said pose for a long time.

I’m always changing poses and using other accessories and swapping accessories around between figures. My Maria Hill has a shotgun atm. Plus my kids do a lot of posing and taking photos as well. But when you hit a great pose it does to tend to stay like that for awhile. My Advanced Suit Spider-Man has been in the same dynamic pose for a long time, no accessories. So I’ve probably wrecked the suit. Oh well.
