No. They’re not an official dealer. If you preorder through them you’re going to wait until they can source one. They’ve also have scammed people who they couldn’t source for by delaying them past credit card protections, and have occasionally shut down their contact email.

KGH Hobby has them in stock as well and are much more reliable but you will pay a bit more. Also not a preorder actual stock
KGH is indeed more reliable. I think their current price is about $940.

Toys Wonderland......
Yes I haven't checked in for a while and I was serious. And thank you for the tip about KGH Hobby. However, the amount they are charging is just under $1000. I don't know if I can find one for less than that on Ebay but I will start looking.
I'm wondering what the consensus is on what the possibility might be of InArt doing a second run of these, say within this next year, that Kit and reputable dealers would have access to? Thanks guys.

It’ll be unfortunate to hear, but they’ve said various times that they’re not in the business of offering additional runs after the original run is complete. No reissues. Which I think is a good thing, all things considered.

I realized I goofed in passing on this a few months ago, so I’ve been in your shoes this whole time, but I happened to stumble upon someone offloading their PO with OSK for retail price a few days ago. I get it, real lucky. If I were you, I’d remain vigilant and ask around. Someone might be looking to sell. Things happen.

Under 1k resale is the best you’ll get off eBay.
Also on eBay if there’s a defect you will have no recourse and may not have any after support.

unless someone gives up a preorder, which as time goes on is less likely, You might want to start planning on buying resale. Gandalf was around 900-1000 on eBay in January, now it’s starting to edge up to 1000-1400.

Don’t fomo into it but maybe start planning on buying resale if a spot doesn’t open up within a few months

Well, there you go.

Although, I have learned in this hobby not to trust anything most companies "say".
I guess haha.

I doubt they would tbh. Imo, I think they’re trying to make one and done figures for each specific character design. Which I think is a good thing as it keeps things fresh and maintains healthy/value (regardless if one cares or not). They’ve also expressed wanting to finish the Fellowship before moving on to non-Fellowship characters.

It doesn't really make sense for them to do another run with how long it takes for them to root thousands of sculpts as it is. Even Hot Toys reissues get put on the backlog of their timeline but those have the benefits of just being fully sculpted hair figures.

If anything I can see them eventually doing 2.0 versions (Joker will be on the top of the list for that) but not straight reissues. Either that or a new costume/version of the character. A Gandalf the White is something they can eventually do. A Bank Robber or Nurse Joker. Tons of variants out there if they really want to go down that route.

In that interview they stated that they want their LOTR figures to be the definitive figures. The absolute best. After they’re done with the fellowship I think they’re done.

If they continue into the other movies we might get a Gandalf the white. Hopefully a king Aragorn. But I think Gandalf the grey will be finished and done.

So Jack, are you saying rather than buying off Ebay, that you think KGH Hobby would be able to support and replace say, a broken hand or other piece on the figure?
Thanks.

Yes. With KGH hobby you have 14 days to return the product if it’s defected. They might be able to send you replacement parts as well.

With eBay, the seller has no obligation to help you.

Thank you sir. Order's in.
Kicking myself for not jumping on Kit's offer but maybe his Aragorn will make up for it, whenever it ships.

With all this talk about the aftermarket prices, I just paid off my remaining balance early. No way am I accidentally missing the invoice once he comes in stock. :lol I can already see it happening that he arrives in stock the day I go on a two week vacation in June.

:lol

At this rate, it will be 2032 to finish an InArt Fellowship...
Agree sadly. they started shipping Gandalf at the start of October last year, still many people havent received theirs. With this speed even with 1 Fellowship member/year it will take them another 7 years to complete it... Aragorn was first up for Q1 this year initially then Q2 but seeing as Batman still not out yet, Aragorn might be even Q3 or God knows when.

They won't do second runs...

But that definitely doesn't preclude them from a "Balrog Battle" release, or even a Hobbit release.

Words are tricksy things.

Given the glacier pace of their 1:6 scale releases, I think we can safely assume it will be a loooooooong time before we see alternate looks for most characters. Batman and Superman being exceptions given tbeir multiple distinct looks from films of the last 50 years.
I can’t see them expending the time and resources needed for a second Gandalf, though. *Maybe* a GTW, but another Grey? Nope.

Personally, I would kinda be surprised to see a Gandalf the White from them. (I mean, I'd totally buy it, but I'd be surprised.) It doesn't seem like they're going nearly deep enough into any of these licenses to get to a point where they might do alternate versions of the same characters. It looks like they only want to do the biggest characters in their most iconic looks. (And there's certainly an argument to be made for GtW here, I realize.) And I'd be thrilled if they went deeper into the LOTR license, but I'm not holding my breath for more than five or six figures at this point. Fingers crossed, but it just doesn't seem like how they're setting up their company just now.

Yeah, I think so too. The only 2.0 versions I could see is the same character from a different movie -- another Phoenix but from the new film, another The Batman from his next, etc.

But I can hear the complaints if they teased Gandalf the White and hadn't done Frodo yet... or Gimli... etc
