Agree it's a shame. Over the years I've enjoyed and marveled over ASMUS and even Sideshow (what little I have of theirs) attention to details (including Gandalf's pants ; the tiny armor scales on Thorin's armor and the etchings on 1/6 swords, and so on). Like I was thrilled InArt at least attempted to put the "leather embroidery" on Aragorn's outer coat in the form of a patch, at least. And that’s a shame.
They won’t optimize things unless there’s a major/general consensus – a huge uproar where everyone and their mother cries out where even the average collectors moan and *****, like they did about the Hermione seamed legs.
If people don’t care for these things or push back (mock and laugh at) on those craving more accuracy, then it’s game over.
Yeah, I missed the boat on the Premium Jack Sparrow. Tho we can alwaysLegolas was my favorite growing up -- have always loved archers and still do -- so this one is a no-brainer for me! I just wish I hadn't been an ***** and missed the boat on Aragorn.
Undecided about Legolas. I missed Aragorn but have Gandalf. Also two pre-orders in a day seems like a lot for InArt when a lot of people are still waiting on figures that already released months ago.
Well that's a bummer. The only reason I would have wanted this is for the armored look. His regular outfit is too boring and simple for my taste, and I don't really care enough about the character otherwise.I hope so, although I doubt it since it’s licensed as a Fellowship figure.
But then again Aragorn only wears Boromir’s gauntlets for like 3 seconds in Fellowship.
I think they only have the license for Fellowship.Well that's a bummer. The only reason I would have wanted this is for the armored look. His regular outfit is too boring and simple for my taste, and I don't really care enough about the character otherwise.
Probably but the downside is you need to buy an Asmus figure.wont the armor from the asmus fig work with inarts, like the armor from the asmus aragorn does with inarts?
My condolencesnot if you already have one (like me)
I'm certainly not knocking you for wanting accuracy, but at the end of the day, I just don't think the average collector cares enough to make the kind of noise that InArt would do something about.
There's some details that people here nitpick that really, only their ego knows to nitpick.
Like 99.999% of people are not going to care nor notice...
I'd imagine the 0.001% that are sticklers for such miniscule detail are this guy:
People who are stickler for accuracy are the same kind of people whose movie costumes are discussed 20 years later, end up in books, and are used in classrooms. I know this because I just picked up the inexpensive Padme red gown fig and there's entire commentaries on how those SW costumes were made.Virgin jokes.. really?
Btw to everyone in the real world, that’s you as well playing with your inaccurate dolls.
Anyway who cares if someone wants to be a stickler for accuracy or not. People say if you don’t like it, don’t buy it. Well if you don’t like people discussing on this forum, don’t partake.
Season 8 does not count...that was just a horrible season....People who are stickler for accuracy are the same kind of people whose movie costumes are discussed 20 years later, end up in books, and are used in classrooms. People who aren't sticklers for detail end up with coffee cups on the sets of medieval dramas that become memes and are mocked by the entire Internet.

Well ok, the Braveheart truck then....Season 8 does not count...that was just a horrible season....
I had no idea Justin Timberlake played Legolas.Looks like InArt listened and fixed the color of the jerkin... so that's good.

Idk, but some of us like costume design and revel in the details. In another life, I’d have worked in either Concept Design or Costume Design and this is a facet of 1/6 figure-making that I personally love and brings me joy.
I’m sharing a video about the costume design in Fellowship of the Ring featuring Ngila Dickson, the Oscar-winning legendary Lead Costume Designer behind the LOTR Trilogy costume designs. She even mentions giving Saruman’s costume a “sense of age” by “aging” the clothing and that’s essentially what INART should (ideally) do with Legolas’s two tone jerkin.
