Plz. People can be fans of a company line like I am of Iron Studios but they have had their foul-ups as have Hot Toys and Asmus. The difference being records of consistency and quality at rational prices. It seems there are some who have a glassy eyed fever over InArt or work for them.

Buying from InArt is iffy which I am well aware of - overpriced; a mix of cheap materials with some nice details and good to great portraits. It's too bad so far this portrait isn't as good IMO as their Paul Atreides or the Potter line.

If InArt doesn't have their act together I'll ditch this PO in a nanosecond. No point in dreading opening your fancy box and finding out Legolas has a glue line across his forehead or someone forgot to pack the quiver.

Thought I explained well maybe not well enough. Ironically it's a combination of rising costs and wanting to put a period on my display groups. As expensive as Legolas is - and Thorin probably if he's made - am ratcheting back on collecting. The move to "hyper real" figs is on the one hand really cool; on the other hand the prices went up. For me I'm not comfortable with it financially. Legolas will finish my LOTR hunter trio group since I won't be getting more Gimli even if he's made. But, going through Popcultcha + pennies was able to get the price down on Legolas. At 550$+ would have passed.

Or, pretty much the same reason I got Aragorn - I wanted a Ranger Aragorn and was giving InArt a try. The only other option is customs$$$ or years old ASMUS figs.

Thorin, if he's made, is an indulgence. Past that I'll enjoy folks pics of JND, Inart, even HT artisans but getting priced out and I own lots of figs anyway.

and some poly clay lembas that a 10 year old could make. I don't even remember Legolas eating in the films.
He takes a bite of it before they shove off shore leaving Lothlorian. It’s when he says to Merry and Pippin that a small bite is said to fill the stomach of a grown man. Something to that effect. Definitely and odd accessory for them to included for him.

I’d much prefer his quiver to be full of arrows instead of that piece of lembas bread. Every company seems to only ever include about 5 for some reason.
And I haven't heard of anyone else getting an LOTR 1/6 license.

JND are also said to be making 1/6 LOTR in their Kojun Works line. They’ll be way more expensive than InArt’s offerings though for sure.

Why are JND allergic to not copying whatever InArt is doing? The first original thing I have seen from them that InArt hasn't done yet is their Catwoman lmao

That said, I would also rather have more arrows for Legolas than lembas. I highly doubt people will display him snacking on lembas over say, holding his swords or drawing his bow.

I’m a fan of the competition- it means we have more choices and hopefully elevates the quality of the products. For those who have the luxury of buying both brands, you’re richer (and poorer) for it. I love both Asmus and InArt. JND is a welcome addition. I’d rather have a few top notch figures than a bunch of mediocre ones

Thank you(y) - all these years I'll have to look for that. Not a big deal but as figures go, I don't think of Legolas + lembas.

LOL I own enough figures, statues etc. when I look around, I'm like costs? I fear no costs!!! 😁 .....but, it's different when it's not spread over years. Cut back on WETA and HT as well. The other thing, I more or less play with my figs, rearrange scenes etc. time to time. For me it feels weird 'bashing a 500$+ fig tho. I know experienced customizers do it all the time, but I feel like I could screw up a "museum piece". 😱

I'd trade out more arrows for the council robe. Suspect most will never use it, except for some photo shots.

I can see as far as Middle Earth goes tho, if I were running a company and knew there was going to be this Gollum movie AND ROP kinda re-focused onto Middle Earth, it'd be time to make use of the license. Like Dune (book) has been around for years, someone does a movie and figures are getting churned out. How many versions of Joker are out or being released.

If it turns out JND has acquired LOTR I'm rolling my eyes.

Well, their 1/3 Aragorn is up for preorder ~3,000$.

Didn't even know they were doing Harry Potter 1/6.

Are these people who use silicon sculpts - uh, no. Not for me, even if I could afford it. Don't wanna worry about potential staining and needing to powder and all that.

That silicon **** doesn’t even look good.

Go compare their “Girls Revolution” figures between the silicon and non-silicon version.

The non-silicon version looks way more detailed.

Just the way silicone photographs unfortunately. Both of my JND pieces are the most detailed and realistic collectibles I have. It does suck that you sort of feel like you’re taking a gamble when ordering one of their items though.

They’re for sure making the the 4 hobbits in 1/6 scale in 2025 if I remember correctly and I believe they’re also planning 1/6 Gandalf

Oh dear.
Well, let's hope they don't look off skin-wise like their other figs have. I don't think the silicone thing is working in their favor.

It's harder for silicone to look right at smaller scales because the translucency of it doesn't scale with it. To me their flesh tone sculpts have looked a bit waxy and for lack of better term, sex doll-like.
