But....the thing is, it's a movie made for everyone. And it's the first movie in a long time that was something really...really good. I have to use Avatar, not because of you, but because how it was recived. It made billions. But didnt deserve it. It wasnt fresh. It was just pretty.

Inception was everything going to the movie's should be. I dont get people that dont like it. I just cant. It's a near perfect movie.

That is a very broad statement. Even though I've yet to see it, I'm pretty sure there's no movie that is literally enjoyed by everyone. It's like some kinky fetishes. Some people are really into them, and other just don't get it.

I dunno. It's a movie that most people really enjoy. It has something for everyone. Except for people who love chick flicks. ____ them.

But it's got a very well thought out plot, it never insults your intelligence, it's really well made, it's got amazing special effects, unique action scenes....

It's like someone took a really deep Indie film, mixed it with a hiest movie, add on a big summer blockbuster, throw in a little sci fi..and WHAM. Inception.

They're similar in that they generated undeserved hype. What both films DO deserve however are awards for the most over rated films of the decade. Though to it's credit, Avatar had it years before it's release where as someone just woke up a week before Inception premiered and proclaimed it to be the "best movie evar!" and then as the story goes, people soon followed suit.

But if you'll noticed, it's died down alot. Inception was in the spot light for a little under a month to the general public. Not very long in my opinion and rightfully so. I'm sure it will pick up a little bit with home entertainment releases and then the inevitable "OSCAH NODS" but it'll soon be forgotten buried under the weight of movies before and after it. Speaking of oscars I'm sure there are a few individuals here that think it's more than deserving of a few nominations and/or wins.

I've got to say, I may not like the film but it deserves at least a nomination for cinematography (Wally Pfister). Other categories though? No, no.

Did I think Inception was okay? Yeah. Mind blowing, thought provoking awesomeness? Hell. No.

Exactly. I feel the same way. After I watched the Avatar in theaters (3D muthapukas) I was like its cool but its nothing but pretty stuff going on and no real original story. After I watched Inception, I wanted to see it again.

To this day I've only seen Avatar once and bought the Blu-ray sent and never opened it. I cant wait for Inception on Blu-ray. I'm going to watch it atleast another 2 times.
