They didnt know they were no longer sedated. Cobb Incepted Satio's mind. He placed the idea that the world he's in is not real. And so Satio remembered where he was. You dont remember the beginning of a dream. Only the middle. So once he knew where he was...he knew what to do.

Now..did Cobb stay in his own world, and proceved it as reality? Or did he go back? We never saw them kill themselves...and we never saw the top fall...

I think the word Inception [Incepted] is geing used to freely. Cobb said something out loud to Satio that helped him see the truth. We all do that every day.

A true Inception is planting an idea inside someones head that they think they thought of themselves. Like in the case of Dom Cobb's wife, she took the idea that the world wasn't real into the real world. She had that feeling from the moment she woke up as if it sprang from her own mind.I assume that Satio never became obsessed with the notion that the world wasn't real. He was never "Incepted."

Ok, but I don't see how they get back to reality if the sedation is still in effect, since it's a drug effecting their body chemically in the real world, I dont think it can just be overpowered by the realization you're dreaming Then again, Cobb was around to see all the kicks on the other levels which I believe were synchronized with the stopping of the sedative, so maybe that's an explanation to how he knew they were no longer drugged. And if that's true then he was in fact able to bring Saito and himself back from Limbo and and the end very well could have been in reality I think I'll stop for now

You go into a coma basicly if you're in limbo. The drugs dont stop your mind from continuing to live in this world. Can you wake up from being in the real world? No. You cant wake up in what you precive (I spelt it wrong like 5 times now...wtf) as real....

If only Satio killed himself and left behind Cobb. Cobb would be in Limbo, and Limbo has never looked the way the end of the movie looked.

I think there was one major flaw in the film

I never got a sense of the time perspective between layers, wasnt the 10 hour flight equivilent to 10 years in the mountains? This just does not seem to work out, am i misunderstanding something

He and Cobb were connected, he fell into Cobb's, and created his own place. And then Cobb ended up in Satios...

They had to cut it short. If everything went as planned, Yusef would've waited on the bridge. Authur would've waited at the Hotel, and they would've incepted Fisher Jr. in the alotted time. The whole goal was to, after the mission was done, KICK themselves up to Level 1, and wait it out. That's were time was the most bearible.

Now you're assuming that Cobb's "read world" really WAS the real and not the first dream level.

Surely if he dies he goes up, so if he dies by the stab wound he cant carry on his search for Saito he would just have returned to the plane no?

Mal stabs Cobb, and while Cobb is dying Ariadne tells Cobb to find Saito, thus she is helping him to enter the same Limbo dream state as Saito. Cobb dies, but by doing so stays in Limbo, but is no longer a Lucid dreamer (his mind is trapped there)
With Cobb meeting Saito (Thanks to Ariadne) they begin to understand where they are. Thus they take appropriate action to return to the plane.

Absolutely incredible film however i will say this, personally i like to know i have a film right, i hate the thought of walking away from a film and thinking i got it right and really i havent, if it makes sense that worries me!

For that reason i prefer Shutter Island, and i know thats open but that can only go 2 ways and i like the choice i made, i am not sure there are two ways with this, i relly hope Nolan explains himself on the blu ray, that could push this film to another level for me if he did
