This story has been denied by Spielberg, Lucas, Paramount and Frank Marshall. Indy 5 won't be shooting next year, and the story itself is still in the "research phase".

The musicrooms.net story looks like a hoax, since it is a place where anyone can sign up and submit 'news'. The site is now even admitting that they don't know what's going on.

Personally I'd like to see either the Commies or some secret Nazis go looking for the Spear of Destiny...Indy needs to lose that eye at some point!

I seem to remember Lucas (and/or Spielberg) say that we should disregard Old Indy from the Young Indy Chronicles.
He was even edited out from the DVD releases... So I guess that means Indy didn't/won't loose his eye in any forthcoming movie.

hey guys i just read this article (see link below) on a possible adventure for Indy 5. Obviously just rumour at the moment but what do you guys think?

Indiana Jones 5 will begin shooting next year, and much of the plot line will be centred around the Bermuda Triangle, an area over the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of aircraft are said to have disappeared.

"George (Lucas) and Steven (Spielberg) have been working on a script and it's almost there," a source explained.

"Harrison is on stand-by for filming next year. This looks like being an emotional and exciting conclusion to the franchise, with Indy facing his biggest challenge yet."

"Shia LaBeouf has a central role again as Indy's son but this will be a blockbuster made in the old fashioned way rather than the CGI efforts of the last movie," the source added.

more aliens????

It's too bad, a one eyed Indy sounds cool. I gotta watch the Young Indy Chronicles sometime.

No thanks, at one point Indy was intact with three awesome movies. Now it has a ____ty installment to tarnish it's name. Please no Indy 5. Please.

either way it looks like its chugging along, and i will be queuing to see it. i hope spielberg makes the most of it this time. at least harrison and shia admitted crystal skull was below par.

After KOTCS, I think Harrison and Shia might have a little more input so this might be better. And if Spielberg's going the oldschool route with effects it'll be even better (which I'm not counting on). I can deal with Shia's annoying antics if the movie's on par with the previous ones. He's no more annoying than Willie Scott was in TOD or (sigh :() Marcus Brody in TLC who was turned from an educated professor in charge of purchasing antiquities for the museum into a halfwit for comedic purposes.

I wonder if Speilberg will be stubborn enough to get his way with George. The movie's legitimacy really depends on that.

Liked KOTCS thought it was a good flick. I like that they're making the changes they've said so far. I think this could be even better which is great.

Oddly enough my problems with KOTCS weren't with Shia. I actually liked Mutt, it wasn't his fault he had to swing with monkeys and get rapidly hit in the balls with branches. I WISH the next one to be good and even KOTCS is solid the first 45 minutes or so (sans the gd gophers) but Indy needs his balls back. And less CGI. I like-a-da-LeyBuff. .
