I've modeled my whole life after Don Johnson's character in Miami Vice, except I'm not an under cover cop, don't drive a Ferrari , don't live in a boat with a crocodile and don't have *** with hot women every night. I'm in Florida tho. :yess: 😎 :lol
But do you play Jai Alai? :lecture :lol

I always loved that opening sequence. True story - Michael Mann's daughter vomited on me. :horror :lol

Still one of my favorite shows. Would love a set of Crockett and Tubbs figures.

A box like this.

I do have the Mezco figure from years ago. I would love a set like you described. Be cool if we could get both cars in 1'6th too.

Too bad that Miami Vice movie wasn't very good. I had high expectations after Collateral for Mann.

I hated that film. They took all the life, color, and fun out of Miami. The cast and fashion was bad too. Jamie Foxx as Tubbs was awful. The guy has no charm and he's no ladies man.

I always thought Terence Howard would have made a good modern Tubbs.

Not sure who could play Sonny tho. Colin Farrell is no Don Johnson.

Collateral is a great movie and Miami Vice was a movie with the name and Characters in essence only. It's too bad because with Mann doing it if the cast and story were better the movie could have been huge. Movie was so bland and not needed.

Your probably right he could have been a great Tubbs. As far as Crockett I have no idea. The chemistry would have to be great between the two cast members. Really glad they have not done a reunion show.

Movie just didn't do anything for me. I hated the villain too. Seemed like it was the writing that brought it down. Seems like Hollywood either cheeses it too much or makes it too modern and realistic to make it a borefest.

I like Terence Howard. I still wish he was Rhodey. Tough call on who would play Crockett. Seems like the top players in acting are too pampered, you don't get the firey/hardened actors like you used to see.

I guess we might as well follow through with this tangent while we wait for Indy news.

Someone was really sculpting above their target audience with those Flintstone items.

No plushie deserves that good of sculpting! :lol

Maybe we’ll get an Indy plushie by this guy?

That's talking Fred.

I prefer the one with the rubber arms and legs. It's the closes thing I'll ever get to a Hot Toys. :(

Already have it, bro. I literally own the whole line. I even have a toy display of the city of Bedrock that was used in McDonalds to display the Happy Meal toys. :lol I got that one from ebay.
:lol

The production history behind that movie is quite interesting.

The great gazoo should have been in it lol

What do you think of the Flinstones spy movie.

OMG, The Man Called Flintstone. I forgot that spy movie was even a thing. :lol

It was a James Bond parody. I remember liking it, but I haven't seen it in ages.

Getting back to Indy.

Full leaked plot, allegedly. Just rumors. I don't know if any of this is true, but don't read it if you really don't want to be spoiled, just in case all this turns out to be true.

The film is set in the 1960's. Indy is nearing retirement from teaching. Phoebe Waller-Bridge plays Indy's teaching assistant. Three men show up at his office asking about three artifacts that he found back in the day. They act as fans of Indy. Phoebe asks about the artifacts, so Indy takes her to a museum to show her the pieces in question. While at the museum, a group of men show up, there's a fight and steal the artifacts. Phoebe shoots one of the man and Indy tells her, "Beginner's luck. " They pursue these men to some kind of Stonehenge structure, where the men perform a ritual and open the three artifacts, opening a portal. Indy and Phoebe go through the portal and go back in time to WWII. Most of the film takes place in WWII, having old Indy fight along young Indy. There are currently two endings being considered. Both endings have Old man Indy dying. Ending one, young Indy lives and teams up with Phoebe to help her get back to the 60's. However, the other ending has both young and old Indy dying. Phoebe Waller-Bridge picks up the hat and whip, picking up the mantle of Indy moving forward. Regardless of which ending they choose, there are plans for an Indiana Jones series to pick up the story where this leaves off on Disney +.
