ChalkyYT posted this image in the custom Indy page and I just wanted to point out how cool his custom German Indy looks (nice job, BTW, ChalkyYT)!

I'm looking forward to getting Sideshow's, and if Sideshow wasn't making it, I would have definitely tried to kit bash one myself. For me, the initial price sting has worn off, especially now seeing that most basic figures are now at the $80-$90 range. And to be honest, if the cap was removable or had a different head sculpt I probably would be displaying Indy WITH the cap anyway since I would want to show off the nice accessory.

lets don't get nasty people( like i am ). but read what is included. a cap.does not say it is connected to head.maybe there only showing so much. because it is not done..
i like the people here who complain about lines that end. i am glad certain lines end. i ws upset highlander went but the figures did not look nothing like the proto's.
also as much as i like hot toys there milkng people for there money.how many frickin batmans and jokers do we need. give that line break. let it die.come up with something new.

Take a look at the other Sideshow figures. Darth Vader comes with a helmet (FYI, it's his head!), same with the clone troopers and stormtroopers as well. So it's not uncommon for them to list additional elements that are part of the completed sculpt separately.

Might do you some good to start at page 1 and do every 5 pages or so before popping in and adding an irrelevant comment like that. Best case scenario, you won't look uninformed. Worst case scenario, you might learn something. ;)

Congratulations, Lordscum! I'm also looking forward to this figure, as well as Henry and Crystal Skull Indy. Seeing ROTLA Indy together with Belloq and Toht on my shelf really makes me love this line!

Thanks guys , I think this figure is a sleeper becuase if the low production run
I think it will turn out well!

I know what you mean Jim about having Indy , Belloq and Toht displayed together. Even though mine are boxed they still look great together and I have I reg Indy opened and displayed on the self above them. , now we just need German Indy , Dietrich and Marion from ROTA and I'll be a happy camper .

Since I stopped collecting Hasbro products I can now afford this and the Star Wars line and still be abel to purchase most releases without having to be too picky. I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford all of the Star Wars releases this year save for Carbonite Han and have all of the Indy line released thus far with German Indy coming by years end.

I didn't order Henry Jones or Crystal Skull Indy just because there are other figures I want before Henry Jones and I didn't like KOTC enough to justify buying crystal Skull Indy

Thanks Mad Old Jim! appreciate the comments. I've included a better pic of my german indy indy custom so you can see it properly. Admittedly its not 100% screen accurate but it has the right 'feel' i think, and it was a much cheaper (and quicker) option than waiting for the sideshow figure
But I have to admit the hat does look silly if he wears it so I would have no problem with getting a head with the sculpted hat. I do think the sideshow figure should come with a second hatless head though!

The tailoring and detail on that costume look great Perry. Fits the body very nicely. Where did you get that book he's holding?

Looks great, ChalkyYT. I like the repaint too. Maybe you can score the German Indy headsculpt once he gets parted out, so you have one with the hat on.

Indy has been the worst paint job from the figures I've gotten. I normally don't like to modify my figs--I like the "purity" of keeping them as close to out-of-the-box as possible, and I've been perfectly happy with the rest of my figures but I HAD to re-do Indy. Since he's my all time favorite character, I couldn't leave him with the factory paint so I bought an extra head and fixed him.

And great work, mah45!

Can you post a link or a pic of the modified paint job on your Indy? Thanks!

I don't really have a problem with the paint job but I'm also easy to please! I do think that SS Indy blows away all past efforst by Kenner, Hasbro, Toys Mccoy, and Medicom ! You can't beat the accessories and detial that hav been put into Indy and the line thus far.

I'm definatly hooked and want more!

Oh, absolutely, Lordscum! Sideshow's been the best! In fact, this was the very first pre-order I did ever! If it wasn't for Indy I wouldn't be collecting 1/6 figures at all and I'd be several thousand dollars richer! But I think it was BECAUSE he was so near perfect for me that I had to at least try to fix the one little flaw I saw. I was originally pretty happy when I first got him. But once I started seeing the repaints pop up, particularly warrior 038 and Les Walker, it made me see the true potential. I actually know how to paint (and no, that's not my painting behind Indy), but painting figures is a whole different animal and I was very apprehensive about attempting to do the repaint. But I figured I had to try.

I didn't do too much. I only filled in the stubble a bit and did a light repaint in the eyes. The eyes needed to be a little darker (green/hazel not blue!), I got rid of the doll dot and some of the eye liner (by filling in more white in the eyes). And I also made the eyebrows a little heavier. But it made a world of difference for me.

And while Indy's paint job is the worst of my lot of figures, it's still a terrific figure and miles above anything I had ever seen before I had gotten into Sideshow!

Nice Job!! Indy looks great! When I was a kid a buddy if mine had the Kenner
Indy which for the time was a great figure! I could never find it in stores .
Various 1:6 Indys where realesed over the years that either sucked or where way too expensive like Toys McCoy .
Finally Sideshow answered my prayrers !

I've been Collecting Sideshow 1:6 for close to 4 years now , Mainly Star Wars which I own all but Carbonite Han and few LOTR figures and I have yet to be disapointed .

I have the EX Indy mint in box and after seeing various pics of Indy , I broke down and bought a reg to open and then broke down and bought Belloq and Toht and now I'm hooked.

I collected 3 3/4 figures for years and one of the main reasons why I decided to stop last month is because of the great product Sideshow puts out for SW and Indy .

I'd have some serious $$$ if not for SS and Hasbro but at least now I'll have more $$ for SS and to put away .

Thanks. Lordscum.

I vividly remember a small black and white ad (in Starlog I think) to mail away for the 12-inch Indy and I remember for the time it was very expensive (like $12 maybe) and I couldn't get my Mom to get it for me. I had maybe seen the Toys McCoy Indy in passing in the last few years, but I didn't think it looked that good for the price, so I never investigated further. But then I saw a web ad for the Sideshow Indy, and I had to get it. And once I hit the Sideshow Toys website, then that was it. I was hooked!

I never really got into the 3 3/4 lines, but I would pick one up here and there if it was a good deal. But those never captivated me like the 1/6 scale has been able to.
