Not sure what to do with this one. It all comes down to that awkward looking hand for me. Take the stone out, it looks awkward. Leave the stone in and it's still awkward looking.
Also, from the pics on SS, it doesn't look like all three stones can fit in the pack. Nit pick?

:banghead Holding the whip and using it are two completely different things. Quit drinking the Sideshow Indy Kool-Aid and remember what makes the character so great and unique (hint: you have to think differently than they do for a minute). I know you do.

SSC Indy Kool-Aid? Please. I don't own a single SSC Indy product! :lol Relax, I was just questioning (and testing my own Indy trivia) your comment that he uses his whip in TLC the least "by far." If you take Indy's outfit as he appears in the PF for TOD and the one assumedly in the works for TLC he "uses" his whip the same amount of times: twice. Sleeveless Indy shouldn't hold the whip to commemorate what he did when fighting the guard in his bedroom, it should match up with his what he did in that incarnation of himself.

To desire otherwise is to sound like those clueless LFL reps that demanded that SSC incorporate elements from all three Darth Vader costumes into one PF.

Of course, he uses the whip most in RAIDERS...

But, hell, I'd buy another RAIDERS PF if it's him kicking ass with the most iconic weapon (and the second most identifiable item -- fedora being first) that the character has. :lol

And I hope you guys get your wish. As a TOD afficionado who doesn't demand Indy to be holding things he's better known for in other films I love how the PF turned out (of course he needs the whip on his person, to leave it out entirely WOULD have been a reason to be up in arms.)

And therein lies the problem. Sideshow treats the Indy license like an after thought and is appealing to the lowest common denominator, not the fans.

i would really loved if indy could hold his whip like that...just a quick sketch to show what i really want...maybe indy has the curse of modfication, maybe sideshow find this amusing, i don't know but i'm sure that many customizer's will try something like that...cut the hand, sculpt a new one and create a wired whip

But what tears my hide is that we're probably going to end up with FOUR different Indy PFs (at least three)... without a single one featuring him using the whip. That is crazy. That's like making multiple Vaders without even one of them him weilding the lightsaber. :slap

100% agree. TOD is a great PF but I think Sideshow missed an great opportunity to add the uncoiled whip on his hand about to strike considering the pose was perfect for it and unfortunately we all know that won't happen on this PF.

Maybe if they release a Last Crusade PF we'll get that.

If they really were appealing to the lowest common denominator than TOD Indy would have come with his "iconic" revolver, not an obscure rock that many people probably don't even remember being in the movie.

Funny since he doesn't have his revolver in TOD. He loses it in Shanghai.

I guess if you want to get screen accurate, didn't Indy use the whip right handed? An uncoiled whip in the left hand wouldn't make sense. Coiled yes. Uncoiled no.
A clenched fist would have worked better for me. SS maybe tried to put too much thought into this. 3 stones in the bag and a clenched, or alternate left hand would have been fine for me.

I find this PF very boring and out of place !

1. Pose is not realistic the flowing line of the body are wrong and looks like he's been cramped to fit onto the base. Study some life drawing !!

2. I think the objects should be in different hands and no stone and the whip in the right hand like in the famous still.

3. The base has too much detail on it and distracts your eye !
( Why do we have to have such full on bases isn't the charcter the most important detail ? ) We know it's temple of doom Indy he has a sword and no sleeve !

4. Expression has no feeling in it and why is the banage on the hand sculpted i thought PF offered ( that little fine touch ! )

I find they are starting to offer all this junk extras like in the 12 inch line !

It's not a toy and really do we really need them ?

I know i don't and others think the same !

Look it's still a great job but i would prefer if they spent the extra money making the PF a stand out !

Than 3 useless stones / monkey brains / and a over the top base !

Indy is why we buying and want this PF !!!

:slap:gah:

I haven't seen Harrison that clean shaven since he was Han Solo. :lol

The thing with the TOD piece is its representing a moment that IMO stands out the most. Thats holding the machete. I know him using the whip is something centreal to Indy. However, I don't have a problem with how nice the two PF's came out. Like I said before of the two Adventure gear Indy's I have ROTLA and KOTCS only one of them is using the whip.

I take my words back...this is a great likeness after all..and the ex monkey head should win for best ex accessory of the year...lol

First Rambo looked like he just steped out of the shower, now it looks like indiana jumped in next, come on sideshow grim them up a bit please

Ha Ha Rambo and Indy are clean as a whistle!
