Haha yea he seems to take things WAY over board.
Understatement of the year.

Let's hope Tom sticks with his 1:4 dream of a Willie PF. If I see a ____ing 12" Willie Scott before Marion Ravenwood, I'll quit this [already dead] line on general principal.
I guess if you're pessimistic by nature then thats the easy way to go here. Having the information come from the people who have said it unless something happens these will happen. This kind of info isn't told unless the wheels are already moving.
Personally, I don't see how it's any different than the numerous Q&As with failed promises. Same person said it that typed it. But that's just me.
Again, when we SEE something, and not a 1:6 statue or a lame polystone environment, but a 12" figure (so long as it's not Willie), I'll change my tune. But weighing their past actions regarding 12" lines with that statement, actions speak louder than words bud.
What Q&A promises have they failed on? Its not the same thing but thats just me.
I guess thats where we differ. If they say they have stuff in the works they deliver. I trust them on their word. They've always been honest about things. I especially feel good coming from these two. Guess knowing them at least a little bit I trust them a bit more bud.
Just about every line that's been canceled has had items "in development."
SS needs to be more upfront with the plans for their 1/6th lines now that they had so many of them go on hiatus, its the only way people will believe them now
You realize that they can and can't say certain things though? Matter if fact most companies don't say what their plans are. So why would anyone think SS can or could?
Star Puffs makes me cookoo for Cocoa Puffs.
Why not? The property holders? They arent making Ipods, and essentially have zero competition, so why not? Why no, sorry guys, we meant to have at least one new Joe for you at the Con, but....fill in the blank.
Why no, the LOTR is dead forever, it didnt sell, we didnt plan properly and its not a license that we want to carry 1/6th anymore. Instead we get if you guys can juggle flaming pigs blindfolded for 24 hrs, we might think about it... ____ off
They could give collectors alot more info and chose to keep us in the dark on almost everything, aside from teh standard, hes in the plans answer.
FAIL

The point is this, Sideshow has let every single one of their 1/6 scale lines peter out.
Their most complete line is Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Obviously, there's things like Shaun of the Dead, or Get Smart that only have 2 or 3 possibilities. But, people are STILL asking for Universal Monsters, and that lines been dead for YEARS. Highlander still needs Kurgan. Buffy still needs Wesley, LOTR needs. . . yeah. The Dead was motoring along, and then they just killed it, and we don't hear anything and then it's "we're looking for a new approach". . . WHY?? It was fine the way it was. Then, of course, there's Reservoir Dogs, which already had a complete line-up from Palisades, and Sideshow gets half-way done and then sees poor sales and says "Oops". The Bayonets and Barbed Wire line is fairly extensive, but of course, that's when "they were smaller and could afford to do smaller runs". . . which is complete hog-wash. There are some aspects of a business that are more profitable than others, you make a bunch of profit over here to cover the costs in the less profitable items over there. Sideshow is using 1/6 scale as loss leaders to get people into polystone stuff.
They have a history of leaving things unfinished. They have no credibility anymore. So they get up in front of a bunch of people and say "1/6 scale figures are down the road". . . well, so are more LOTR figures, they've said again and again, if the Hobbit movie ever picks up, they'll revisit the idea of 1/6 LOTR. They're doing the same thing here, asking us to wait and wait for more 1/6 Indy.
Personally, I'm not friggin stupid. If someone keeps saying I've got a cookie, and holds their hand behind their back and never shows me a cookie, I'm inclined to believe that they don't actually have a cookie.
