Psst. Terrible-as-the-dawn. (That's your new Indian name.)

:lol

BTW, when did you ask me about a PF Leia?

I did own her but she and the Han Solo PF did not display well together, especially with Han's oversized head. So I eventually sold them both. If they ever do a Hoth Leia and it looks good with a Han Hoth PF, then I would probably buy those.

You should have kept Leia. She doesn't need Han. You should just build a collection of Leia PF's. That would rule.

She's the only PF I own, and I am having the damnedest time finding her some company.

Says someone who has pretty much every available incarnation of Iron Man (a character I loathe by the way) in every format available from Sideshow, Bowen, Hot Toys and Hasbro. And aren't you into MOTU too, another line that you know Mattel will exhaustively release on top of the extensive vintage and early 2000's lines? I mean they gave you that f___ing dentist at SDCC. Even the joke characters get made in some lines.

But Gimli, Marion? Nope. Mol-ar, yes. Pretty easy to continuously play the optimist when the problem does not affect your major interests.

Why the Iron Man hate? :dunno I don't have any of Iron Man in bowen at all and actually the first Sideshow one I will have will be the Mark VI Maquette. I do have the Hot toys though.

Yeah, I collect MOTU. Have every figure so far and will continue to cause of the sub. Though I do that cause there are figures I don't want to miss out on but there are figures I could skip and be ok with.

LOTR is one of my major interest. I've been a fan of LOTR a long time (reading it since I was in HS) and been collecting it hardcore since 2003. So I get what you're saying but what I'm saying is don't try to get everything its a funner way to collect.

Why the Iron Man hate? :dunno

As a kid I thought he was dead boring. Most of the other heroes had cool powers and those that did not like Batman were always in real physical danger. Iron Man was a guy in an "Invincible" robot suit. :sleep And his comic had absolutely no female characters of interest. And he had a moustache. And Iron Man was the favourite hero of this boy I became friends with because we both liked comics, so I think I hated him even more just to be playfully antagonistic (setting life-long precedents).

Oh as an adult Iron Man just seemed like an anti-superhuman fascist time-bomb ticking away, which from what I have gleaned is what happen in that Civil War storyline. So I stand validated. :nana:

Besides I just wanted to give your relentless toy optimism a hard time and Iron Man was the target simply leering at me from signature line.

A third Leia, particularly an ESB version, would make a perfect set with the ANH and Slave outfits.

Space was a factor too. I sold her right when I moved to Seattle to a smaller apartment. So PFs have been a no go area. I would like to get the Galadriel PF someday, but I am waiting for an Arwen PF first to be able to put together an elf trinity.

You should check out the invincible story line. He's more like the movies and they have some kick ass females in it now. Its a blast to read IMO.

I'm an optimistic person by nature. Can't help it. So you gotta work harder than that. :nana: :lol

I'll bet Tony Stark (German for "strength") still has a moustache and you know who else had a moustache:

He ain't getting getting Kitty Pryde and Eric Lensherr though. And I made the photo while baking cupcakes if that adds to your enjoyment. :nana:

Might be going a bit far compairing Tony Stark to the Nazi's. Not a joke in good taste.

Relax, its a joke. This is an Indiana Jones thread, Nazis are part of the package. And Devilof76 already tripped Godwin's Law earlier this week with his Little Dictator post. And most importantly that picture coupled with Iron Man during the Civil War plot instantly lent itself to an ironic twist like that. I mean you do realise that Ben Grimm is Jewish?

They are but I think that may be going in a direction we don't need to head. Thats all.

Yeah, I realize that about Grimm.

just got the Indy KOTCS fig with the fridge and I like the likeness and all of his stuff but the body is terrible. Feel like I'm gonna break the damn thing when I'm futzing around with it.

As for Rosie:

I am very liberal as you have undoubtedly picked up, but Rosie O'Donnell irritates me so much that I laugh everytiime I see that Khalid Sheik Mohammed photoshopping. :slap

And while it would be easy to blame me for derailing this thread today, I choose to blame Sideshow. If I had a Marion Ravenwood doll in hand I would be busy at play on a Saturday rather than creating mischievous anti-Iron Man propaganda. :D

Agree. While I agree with some of the stuff she says, whenever there's a blue moon and the Lotto numbers are close to my picked digits, most of the time I think she just tries to be Diva the Hutt for press... which backfires every time she opens that festering sphincter of a mouth.

Sorry! No news!

Just wanted to update the quantities of the remaining 1:6 figures:
KOTCS Indy Ex: 80 (down from 90)
Toht Ex: 30 (down from 50)
Belloq Ex: ??? (no quantity meter thingy)

Just the expensive ones left, and all the Medicom figures. ALL of them!:lol I hope Sideshow realizes that the expensive exclusives simply don't sell. Hopefully the mine cart will be a separate purchase like Empy's throne.

I still think the idol pedestal is spectacular, well worth having a bland Belloq figure. The Ark was a disappointment, but I was fine with it since I never got the Hasbro one. And I simply couldn't justify the price of the fridge.

I'm still hoping we'll hear something before the year ends.
