Seems like SSC's this year is disappointing all around at SDCC. Every thread I go into folks are really down on the sculpts and paint jobs. And this one is like the ultimate fail due to its ridiculous price point.

Then most people are idiots. Besides this and the Catwoman LSF SSC has hit it out of the park.

Yeah... beating up all of the SSC is a foul ball... have you seen Baroness or Major Bludd... (especially Bludd !) Granted I am not as excited as I had hoped for this piece in particular.. but then again.. it saves me the heartache of had it been perfect I knew I couldnt scrape up the cash for it... regardless.. I still think SSC is putting out some really cool stuff.. just hope that they are not done with Indy... (Mola Ram... pleeeeease....)

Yeah, this piece may be a bit of a disappointment, but there is so much else that SS has unveiled over the last 48 hours that rocks pretty damn hard.

Plus, I think people might be reacting a little hyperbolically to this piece. (This is the Internet, after all!) It may be a little off -- certainly enough to notice -- but it's not a complete and utter embarassment. No, it's not a home run (though it could be with some tweaking to the sculpt and maybe some material changes) ... more like a solid double.

Problem is, I don't know too many folks want to pay $2K for a double.

If people don't call SSC on what is not acceptable, they won't tweak anything as they obviously thought it was alright for a 200,000 in person crowd to see. For these prices, there's no excuse for anything less than the best SSC can put out. No more excuses for sweat shop painters as with 2K, they should be having much better painters. Danbury Mint can put out cheaper collectibles that have less Q/C issues as can other producers. SSC has become to comfortable as their ever increasing price points indicate.

If the LSF line is supposed to be the cream of the crop for Sideshow in terms of high end collectibles, then for now this Indy piece doesn't make the cut. It's like the ugly duckling of the LSF line. The others previewed so far look much better.

These pieces are insanely price, at around 6 times the price of the 1/4 premium format statues ....6 times the price of a 1/4 PF should mean they have to deal with 6 times the level of nerdrage when they screw it up

Perhaps they took him down because he had been partying the night before. Took to much lsd and ex.

I like the sculpt, but those eyes...i feel like little red riding hood visiting grandma at the wrong time. Like the big bad wolf was getting into bed and got startled at me coming to early and then taking an uncomfortable pose.

All joking aside they should have taken an iconic pose like on the old movie posters. I'm relieved that i don't like it. Saves me another morgage to get this one. Ya'll can say all you want, but at this pricerange you should get a meet and greet with harrison ford or get a near perfect statue.
