Ipod shuffle (in colors! )

Ipod Nano-With Video, basically a small version of the Video Ipod. 4GB for $149, 8GB for $199. With Colors!

Ipod Classic-Regular video Ipod, 80GB for $249, 160GB for $349 (40,000 songs)

Ipod Touch, basically an Ipod version of the Iphone, 3.5" touchscreen, along with Wifi and Safari for the internet. $299 for 8GB, $399 for 16GB.

Itunes Wifi Store, basically a version of Itunes for Ipod Touch and Iphone.

The Iphone has had a price drop. The 8GB Iphone is now $399 ($200 lower) and the 4GB version is being discontinued.

So... YeY. I want and Ipod Touch now. And guess what? They will be available Today. You should be seeing the new ones in stores at the end of the week or next week.

Im over the Ipod hype and marketing machine. IMO there are so many better media players out there than Ipods.

kind of. once you go apple you never go back. i've had several different kinds of MP3 players from sony to iriver to some no names, and i've found out that when they break you're pretty much screwed. i've had two ipods break down on me and never had to wait more than 2 weeks to get them repaired or free replacement.
~~ im glad i've been holding out on the iphone. my contract with verizon ends in november so i think i can still use sheer willpower to continue holding out until then. im hoping that they announce one with a bigger hard drive sometime around the first of the year.

Like the new nano, great update. I recently bought an 80gb ipod video, still looks as good as the new 'classic'. The hard drive update is great though.

Ipod touch????? Pretty much ARSE!!!
It's not an ipod, it should have been in the classic white somehow, at the moment its just an iphone without the phone. Seems rushed! And as for the crappy hard Drive capacity??

Don't get me wrong, as a Graphic Designer I love Apple always used them, but if you're going to release something as important as the Ipod Touch then do it properly.

I've been waiting for the newGen full iPod to come out, I've been wanting to upgrade from the mini I have but knowing the iPhone technology would innevitably be applied to standard iPod, I'd been waiting. Like someone else said, once you go Apple you don't turn back and I pretty much own Apple gear exclusively from PC to MP3.

I guess I will continue to wait then. I am not impressed with the new stuff they are putting out lately. I still have my iPod from when they first updated to color and photos. Kicking hard it is.

I will admit I like the Ipod, I had a Creative one before and part of it were better but the lack of accesories was bad. The Iphone is over hyped IMO.

i agree that the iphone is overpriced, but for Mac addicts such as myself its a necessity. i want/need it to replace a couple things right now and the fact that it perfectly syncs with ical is golden. i live my life in ical.... i think with the price drop we'll see many more people with the magic phone in their hands, and i feel bad for the people who bought them from launch.

I am not interested in the iPhone but have been waiting for the technology of the touch screen and widescreen display to be applied to the iPod and now here it is. But what's up with the 8 and 16 gigs of memory?
